Do you think some of the big car YouTubers like shmee150 or Supercar Blondie will be invited to the reveal? If they are, it would increase exposure to the world market.

No.
And they shouldn't be.
People that can afford these cars, aren't watching these nobodys.

Yes, they call them influencers now. Social Media is changing marketing and how companies go to the market and how they look for ways to promote their products. Some of these Youtube channels are unwatchable but many people watch them daily. Funny thing You can have a video camera and do off the wall stuff, buy a hot car and all of a sudden your an auto journalist with the latest scoops on technology. The click bate and joining forces with other fellow You tubers just to promote their channels to gain more subscribers is more about making money and is very annoying. It's not about the product as much as to subscribe to my channel Self promoting so they can make more money. It's Just like reality TV that has taken over the main broadcast networks for past 10 plus years. We now have you tubers being watched more than popular network shows. Some of these very popular unwatchable DOPEY U-tube channels are making well over 2k per day. Anyway, I am sure some of the top You tubers will say they will have a new C8 to show the world before anyone else. Just watch than a few months later they will move on to the next hottest vehicle to keep promoting their channel.

I don't watch any of that crap, but I'm sure they will be there. Modern man is strange... people apparently watch "unboxing" videos now where people just open new stuff and take it out of the packaging and talk about it. Kids watch videos of other kids just playing. I have a 3 year old and she's not allowed on any of that stuff; ever. I see parents who let their young kids have their phones and it turns them into zombies. No thanks.

I am certain and also hope that the more respectable social media "influencers" get an invite, anyone thinking the top guys are just kids with video cameras aren't paying attention. Guys like Shmee are professional productions, and with the amount of reach they have it would be foolish not to invite them.

Yes they will! As I am on the list for the unveil as well!!
Yes they will invite YouTubers out to the unveil of the C8 Corvette BUT after they have already invited the people they truly want there.
I have gotten an email and text from Chevrolet myself.

Given the damage you did to your credibility this morning with that stunt you pulled posting Chaz's work in a fashion implying it was your own, I will never click on any of your vids.

I don't know about YouTubers specifically (doesn't exactly seem like the appropriate media for a reveal event), but especially considering the location I'd hedge my bet on some sort of social media influencer presence. Probably more along the lines of the Instagrammers for the reveal, though, then the YouTubers will get a crack at it when they can actually do stuff with the car.

There will definitely YouTubers at the reveal. SoCal is full of popular automotive YouTubers like Vehicle Virgins and the Stradman. They’ll get invited to the reveal, be allowed to take pictures and videos up close, interview engineers and designers, and they may even get to sit in some pre-production cars. I know that many of them are unwatchable, but Doug Demuro should be there and he will go over as many details as possible. Later this year, the same YouTubers will be invited to drive the C8 on track and/or on public roads, and Vehicle Virgins will have the greatest cinematics and feedback for that event.
Some YouTubers such as Cleetus McFarland and StreetSpeed717 have had deposits down for years and really care about Corvettes, so they may also be invited. They will vlog the reveal trip, but won’t really review the car until they take delivery of their own. However, those two guys will really promote the C8 with drag-racing, burnouts, and fighting for records like 1/4 mile times and being the first to 1000hp.
I think that that some of you have the wrong idea about automotive YouTubers. Most of them are doing it because they’re passionate about cars. They promote their channels in order to get more money to get better cars or to be able to modify or do things with their current ones. They also have to encourage people to like their videos or comment on them because YouTube’s recommendation algorithms favor videos with lots of activity. Bigger channels, especially those who get more consistent views, promote themselves less because they get plenty of daily activity.
Anyways, there will definitely be YouTubers at the reveal, and they will provide Chevy with LOTS of publicity.

I prefer watching the youtubers anyday over the big companies that are paid huge amounts to give the reviews that the manufacturer wants everyone to hear.

I was thinking more along the lines of Matt Farah, Mr JWW, Rob Ferretti, and Ed from VINWiki who actually know a lot about cars and have a true rather than superficial passion for them.

I don't know much about Supercar Blondie, but Shmee is legit. He's got a huge following, great relationships with high end manufacturers and dealers, and runs a consulting business in addition to his YouTube channel. He just partnered with a financing company in the UK to offer specialty financing for high end cars. He's exactly the kind of person Chevy should involve in the C8 launch, especially as it pertains to their plans for Europe.
