Still an option?
About 3-5 months ago, I think, I read about the C8 have electric doors as an option. I haven't heard about it since that time. Does anybody know if that will still be an option?

GM filed a patent for some funky power open/close doors... no confirmation that it had anything to do with the C8.

Why do people keep posting questions that obviously cannot be answered by anyone here? No one knows any details about the car since nothing has been released yet. Everything is pure speculation at this point.

Hmmm . . . guess you've missed the shots of the camo cars with conventionally opened doors along with the photo of Mary Barra arriving at an event in NYC with Tadge Juechter driving a camo covered C8, where he opened the door for Ms. Barra. It sure as hell wasn't a Lambo door.
The crazy speculation around here never stops.

Tadge is on record (I was there at the bash) stating his distaste for "vertical lift" doors and that as long as he was around they'd never be on the car. They're not practical. He stated water issues getting in/out when raining.

From what I gathered the power doors would be conventional with sensors to keep the door from hitting objects when opening and to counteract the wind.
