If (and that is a big IF), but IF the C8 exceeds my desired look, I will wait on a high horsepower variant.

The C7 Stingray looks plain next to a Z06, ZR-1, and even the Grand Sport.

This is why I plan on keeping my 2019 ZR1...it is Soul Food for this CF member.

I had a Dodge RAM SRT10 that I bought from a old NASCAR crew chief that he supercharged. Had way over 700 hp and he tuned the suspension to the best of his ability. Had to get rid of it...it drove like a truck...

For now, happy to enjoy the '19 M7 Z06. And, I will give the C8 version some time to sort out the inevitable issues - should be reasonably good to go by year 3... If not, will look for "garage queen cars and coffee special" ZR1.

I will only get a C8 if and when it comes in the Z06 manual convertible configuration. My base C7 manual convertible will do if it doesn't.

Waiting for the higher hp variant - want the highest hp, non-hybrid version they're gonna make as it'll likely be the last high hp all-engine vette made.

These are my thoughts exactly - the C8 "Z06" version may just be the last all-engine Corvette ever manufactured. If that's indeed the case, I will keep it permanently.

Let’s see what the C8 is all about no need to rush for a z version or whatever they will call it for now.

Same here. I'm still relatively young. Will have the rest of my (hopefully long) life to endure/enjoy hybrids and electrics. I think the C8 Z will be the last high hp all-engine vette. Looking forward to adding that to the stable.

I don’t believe the base C8 will offer any improvement over a C7 Z06 or ZR1. Especially if they are going to keep the price down.

IMO a full on ZXX C8 will be over $200k and will be "limited production".

However, "limited production" to GM means production is limited to how many they can sell.........

I stopped buying base models vettes in 2000, from 2001 on I’ve only had Z06’s and ZR1’s, I always want the most power and aggressive look,

Or the C7 ZR1 might be that car already.

I might be in for the ZORA. Provided that GM doesn t muck it up with a goofy looking wing and an ugly front end. Like they did with the C7 ZR1.

It might be.

While I expect a hybrid ME during the C8 ME run (likely the top variant), I'm hopeful we'll also see multiple all-engine variants (well, at least two - base model and the "middle child"). C9 will probably at best be hybrid, and possibly even all electric by the time it arrives, assuming the C8 is successful enough for there to be a C9.

In the last week, I've put over 1k miles on my C7 Callaway Z06, and thought to myself it'll be a shame when we can't buy all-engine rigs with 750+ hp. I'll be keeping that one and my Lingenfelter C6 ZR1. Would love to have a 750+ hp all-engine ME as well before the electrics and/or hybrids take over.

Never mind improvement, If the base C8 equals the performance of the C7 Z06, I'll be thrilled...
