New instrument cluster photos from ring - What is this "lane" icon?
Performance testing aside and all the cool track display updates (much better than my C7), I noticed this lane icon at the bottom center. What is this? Lane departure warning, or super cruise type stuff?

On my M2, it stands for 'lane keeping assist'.. Its a late departure warning icon.

Blind spot detection and lane departure assist perhaps?

Yup, lane departure warning. In every car I have ever had equipped with this, you can turn it off. Both my Tahoe and my BMW M4 has it and they are turned off because they are annoying as hell.

Yup. If you deviate from your lane without a turn signal it will turn yellow. On a Cadillac it will also rumble a butt cheek. If the system gets in a panic, it will rumble both butt cheeks. Hopefully that trait does not make it into the C8.

Is it just lane departure, or indicative of super cruise or something like that?

Its lane keep assist. In the tahoe it will turn the wheel if you start to drift. It sucks and I turn it off because it really doesn't work all that well. It's done more harm to me than good actually, almost put me into another car when they had a construction lane shift...

Welp it looks like a lane keep assist. I was hoping for more safety features like blind spot warning but this. I don't even really get the concept of it, it just shows how many people cant stay in a straight line in my opinion.

I'm sure you'll have something to say about the 185 degree water temp too. Zero chance that's a cold motor.
