Much more like a modern aircraft cockpit ergonomic design. This thing will win awards and set the tone for future sports car cockpits. And no, it doesn't look like a 1980’s sports car cockpit for very good reason.

I get that. I guess I was referring to this photo where the screen is blurred out. I feel that’s an important photo that would give a lot of info. I’m interested in the large center display.

SO TRUE! Talking bout a FUGLY steering wheel. A person can get a carbon fiber c8 steering wheel - after market. You shouldn't have to on a 62k car though.

Personally, I think it looks great. I thought the steering wheel looked a bit odd at first, but then I realized it was designed for easy viewing of the center display. It also has an upscale look, which I appreciate. No one is going to mistake this steering wheel for a cheap one that came out of the GM parts bin. HVAC buttons are easy to access with leaning into the dash.

I say "Mission Accomplished".
I agree, the more I look at it the more I like it. It's ideal for a track grip, the 9 and 3 position will line up perfectly with the paddles and give you a full view of the display. IMO I think there was actually some thought put into this...

Oh hell yes, that center stack is the business! Love how high it is, should make you feel like you're flying a fighter jet. From the future. No room for head, that's true, as someone else already said (made my day) but c'mon. She can wait. Tell her to be patient.

I'm thinking the same thing for the entire interior now. The more I am looking at the interior, the more I am thinking it is going to make every other car out there look outdated. The seats are very high style, and make other cars' seats look boring. The big dead pedal and slender gas pedal with nice metal finish with rubber traction inserts look great. The shift buttons give the car a futuristic look. I can't wait to see the rest of it. This interior is going to win awards.

Geezus that steering wheel needs to lose some weight.
It's at least a third too big and horrendous looking.
The radiator going through the center is quite interesting though.

The steering wheel? Yes, they sat around in brainstorming sessions and made alternative decisions after tossing a few coins. They didn’t evaluate it for actual street driving. They didn’t have race experienced drivers test and comment before settling on a final design. And, they certainly didn’t take display thru-wheel visibility in various degrees of wheel rotation into account before deciding by throwing darts at photos of six different wheels while blindfolded.

Never thought I would hear myself saying this, but, so far, I like the C8's interior better than the Ferrari's.

The steering wheel is hideous and leather button above the driver select rubs me the wrong way. A little too prissy for a sports car

Looking at the interior actually gives me hope that there could be a more driver focused C8. If you look at the other sports car makers, there are the base model cars which tend to be the GT/Luxury versions and then they have the performance models like RS, Stradale/Pista and Performante etc etc. Those driver focused cars have super basic interiors and are built to be as light and quick as possible. This shift to a more luxurious interior on the base C8 now leaves room for the upper performance models to be cars that can compete with driver's specials while leaving the base car to those that really just want a GT car. Think of the base C8 as a 488 GTB and the Z cars as the Pista.
