Default The C8 Z06

Ok, so how soon until we start seeing/hearing about a C8 Z06 or something similar as a high performance trim optioned car?

We should start to see mules on the road, or on the snow, by this winter. Colorado and Canada will be the place to see them as the engineers do high-altitude and cold weather testing with the turbocharged engine.

Hoping soon, it’s typically been unveiled alongside the race car. C8.R competes next year.

Zo6 should be priced higher. $269,900, final price confirmed.

🤣🤣🤣

The engines will be manufactured in Bowling Green, and shipped to Ferrari, in Maranello, to be assembled “by 2 fat blokes from Kentucky.” (Name this quote)

If the C8 Stingray sales stay good, I'd guess 2022, otherwise, they may release it in 2021.

Top gear said so. Fat blokes said to be happy and content being fed with prosciutto and table wine. Will assemble as many engines as they can in 40 hours per week, none more.

Agreed.
The new C8 seems to have raised the performance bar very high so Corvette would want to sell lots of Stingrays before introducing higher performance variants.

They will most likely release it during the 2020 LA Auto Show.

Don’t they have to have a car in production before they can race it? I would think they want to race so they need a turbo to be competitive.

Nope. The Ford GTLM car was competing before the Ford GT was in production. IMSA and other sanctioning bodies just want proof that the cars will be put into production. I’m sure that they could start Z06 production next September and get away with it.

It SHOULD. It is a MUCH better overall vehicle WRT usability/capability.

But, emotionally the Z06 hits harder.

Will really depend on the intended use and perception the owners want.

Lean more to the Grand Touring lifestyle- ERAY
Lean more toward the hardcore/track experience-Z06

Yup, that is an elementary take. There is a WHOLE lot to take in, but, the ERAY has a TON to offer. Would make for one hell of a daily or grand tourer.
