I liked the video and the software is really cool. However, your final redesign makes the rear look too flat and less edgy and I think the original design looks much better.

it is a shame the centered quad pipes exhaust did not came back, that was a Corvette signature for the last three gen.

Aftermarket will take care of that. I am sure center pipes will be available by next spring.

You sort of made it look more C7 like in the back. Also the orig exhaust openings look too much need to blend them into the rest of the bumper.

I think he does a nice job. The only think is I think they brings down the middle too much. He over compensated a bit. Otherwise, I think it looks pretty good.

Yours is definitely better, but as long as those lights look the way they do that rear end is still going to be unattractive

Good luck piping that exhaust around the transaxle

Yes, mid engine packaging issues are very different from FEs. Engine bay cooling is one problem. Some of the heat is vented centrally underneath, but probably the biggest reason for outboard exhausts is that the engine and transmission sit so low the exhaust pipes cannot run underneath, and there would be no room (due to the trunk) for any mufflers in the middle of the car.

Edit: Shaggy's post gives a clearer idea of what I was driving at.

Nice effort, however, I too, think the factory look is better.

I would have put fins in the lower corners where you moved the exhaust from.

I like your version a little more than GM's if ONLY because it doesn't remind me of the Camaro any longer.

Jeez tough crowd. I like the redesign and think the changes make the C8 rear end look more presentable. The primary issue for me is that damn license plate hexagon, it just adds far too many additional lines, pinch points and makes it overall busy, especially smack dab between the taillights.

I say make a vid doing the same for the front. It's always fun seeing what others come up with.

duh... that's what they make the flexible Stainless Steel hose for You could maybe even get a way with using dryer duct hose since it's such a short run?
