$58,995 up front on C8 corvette payment???

I gave Mike Furman, $1000.. He'll get the balance when I get my car... NO dealer will lose ANY money in the first year on a C8... If the guy that orders it bails, it will get sold very quickly.. Hell, the dealer doesn't even pay for the car until they get it.. (and not even then usually, they get it from GM on credit)

In most states there is no such thing as a non refundable deposit

I wouldn't do it. 6k is the highest I have seen thus far, but basically paying for the car is ridiculous. Call another big dealer near by. Criswell is down there too.

Dealer called my friend, took his order last week made him wire a $6,000 check to Kerbeck , Now says send 58,995 base price of car to get the order in?? DOES this make sense , thought you would make this final payment when car came in. MSRP on C8 was around 91K . Anyone else ordering a car from Kerbeck have to do this?? Thanks in advance!!

It's already been covered that this was a scam, Kerbeck was NOT requiring $58K.
PS. I don't understand why someone in this situation wouldn't pick up the phone and, heaven forbid, call the DEALER (instead of your friend who then posts on Corvette Forum and then Kerbeck has a situation that it does not deserve).
