WOW! Never would have expected this from GM. I'm starting to think GM has lost it's way, in more ways than one.

It makes sense that GM wouldn't show the car for free at the big Corvette shows since they are charging dealers to show the car.

It has nothing to do with dealers or fees or any great conspiracy. It's got to do with the UAW strike, and the fact the Teamsters are refusing to transport cars as a show of solidarity.

The dealership road show cars are moved by a private company, and not subject to the Teamster issue.

To me what they are doing with the road shows at the dealers is enough for me to get to see it and sit in it. We don't need the C8 at every show possible.

They have. What most don't seem to remember is when the C6 Z06 was first introduced, GM brought it to FunFest and was giving rides to people, including me. They always come to the show with many cars. This was the first time in 14 years I've been to FunFest that they failed to show up. The pulled their commitment at the last moment too.

I am sorry for that. My original post was pulled as it seemed to be offensive to GM. So I am trying to show my frustration without forum violations. Being PC here.

I see you've posted it at least three times, 2 in C8 section and 1 in C7 section. I think you're dwelling on this a little too hard. The cars are being displayed at dealerships all over the country.

I visited the NCM last Monday and was a bit disappointed there wasn’t a C8 on display. I realize they are not part of Chevrolet, but there were a lot of visitors in Corvettes.

They did have a C8 mule that was pretty stripped down.

Agree. Also, the black goose neck trailer u see in all the YouTube vids only carries the static displays. The car itself goes into a Reliable Carriers transporter rig...

The line to see it yesterday at Hendrick in Shawnee Mission KS was HUGE!

No. Mid America Motorworks declined to pay to have the cars on display. End of story.

Not only offensive, but incorrect. It wasn't GM's decision, it was MAMW.
