Default From Florida - Dealer Recommendations for 2020 C8 Purchase

I live in central Florida and am once again interested in buying a C8, only this time the convertible. Can anyone recommend a straight shooting dealership that will sell at MSRP, no hidden fees, and has 2020 allocations remaining? The dealer doesn't have to be in Florida, but I would need the vehicle delivered to me.

Try Don Mealey in Clermont, FL.

Thanks, I just submitted an order request through their web site. I'm still wondering if it would be better to go with an out of state dealer that has a better reputation and higher allocation of C8's coming in or not.

Call them, ask for JC, he is the Corvette rep. If you are serious you do not submit through the website

If Don Mealey does not work out, check with Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City. Halfway between Tampa and Orlando. Very reputable, NEVER charges above MSRP and $99.00 dealer fees. I had a great experience with them in the past and one of the few in Florida I would trust. Do Not bother with dealers in Southeast Florida, they are horrible and cannot be trusted. Good Luck.

UPDATE:
I have contacted two dealers so far. The first was Don Mealey in Clermont, Florida, through their web site. I then received an email from a Christopher Pereira, who identified himself as the Vehicle Delivery Specialist. I wrote him back and said it was my understanding that a "JC" was the Corvette Representative (JCAPPS response above). Haven't heard anything back yet. The second dealer was Matick, and it was Alan Johnson. He said I could get a 2020 late Summer/early Fall delivery, and I would be charged MSRP, plus $300 Lien Placement Fee and $220 Document Fee. Also, because I live in Florida, I was asked if I had a dealer here in Florida, "...willing to take the courtesy delivery". I didn't realize I had to secure such an arrangement, and not sure if that would involve more expense or not. I thought all I had to do after ordering from Store X was to tell them I wanted a courtesy delivery here in Florida. Is it not so simple?

Alan Johnson @Al@MatickChevy has ordered and arranged delivery of many Corvettes to Florida. It would be up to you to discuss with your local Dealership as an out of State Dealer has no idea who you want to use. He makes the process as simple as it can be.

I may go with Matick. I reached out to Don Mealey Chevrolet on Monday, and outside of automatically generated, "Hi, how can I help you?", emails, I haven't heard back from anyone at that dealership. Business must be great!

Of one of two local Chevy dealers I requested they take the courtesy delivery for me, this is what one of them said:

"I read over your request for us to take delivery on your ordered 2020 Corvette. We will not be complying with that request, we do apologize."

Obviously that doesn't provide any idea why they would refuse to take delivery, so I have responded back, asking for an explanation. What is the big deal about this? Is it usual for dealerships to refuse courtesy deliveries? If so, is it because they don't like it because it wasn't ordered through them?

And their response to the above:

"We don't do dealer deliveries. Our dealership is not set up to do that."

So we'll scratch them from the list. It's a shame, too, because I bought a Grand Sport from them before.

Same thing looking to replace my SUV. Unless you know a good person seems a lot of Dealerships (not just Chevy) spend more time sending out ridiculous generated emails vs communicating with the Customer. Different Dealerships and states have different fees/rules etc. Alan will take good care of you. Unfortunately finding a Dealership in Florida to take delivery may be an issue. Have you thought about Museum Delivery? Or private shipping? Good luck and keep us posted.
PS-what area of Florida are you looking for delivery? I am NE and can check around.

Contact MacMulkin in N.H. That are at M.S.R.P. and NO dealer fees. Second largest corvette dealer in the U.S. They will also be able to help you find a local dealer who does courtesy deliveries. I believe they still have almost half of their 1,172 allocations available.

Also, check out this spreadsheet that I copied from another thread. You can sort by state, city for those dealers that do courtesy deliveries and the local contacts.

I am sorry, no one serious about buying plays the "I filled the form out on the internet" game. This is just a troll thread. I told you who to call, you did the internet thing, I told you again to call and ask for JC you did the email thing.

I'm working on a dealer in South FL to do deliveries for us. I'll post back if I get a green light.

Alan is a great guy. I would also recommend Mike Furman at Criswell Chevrolet. Take delivery at the museum, great experience! PM me if you have additional questions. Good luck!

Give our Corvette Team a call at 603-888-1121, or just fill out our online form with the color and options you're looking for and a member of our Corvette Team can put together a build with pricing for you. You don't have to do the leg-work...we do it for you!

http://www.macmulkincorvette.com/con...order-inquiry/

As others here have already mentioned, we are selling at MSRP, and, we can set up a Courtesy Delivery with a Chevy dealer near you.
