Type = Expensive
It is a relative of ATF which have the contrasting properties of:
a) low friction of gears and bearings
b) prevents metal to metal contact on gears and bearings
b) high friction at the clutches.
d) enables plate to metal contact on clutches.

Dealer Corvette mechanic said they just got the DCT oil in stock...$49 / Qt and I think he said trans will hold 12 Qt. Ouch!

I wonder if you can drain all 12 QTS at one time. If its anything like the a6 or a8, probably only can drop 5 qts. I assume if its done at a dealer they would have the equipment to pump or suck it dry.
Anyone know the cost of the filter and if its a dealer purchase only?

Other online places seem to have the fluid for $25-35 a liter. But still damn expensive for the short change intervals.
Audi dealers charge about a grand for their DCT service. The fluid cost and change interval is similar. I’d expect GM dealers to charge slightly less for service if the c8 DCT.
