Better rear traction on a ME and RE sport cars as well of a faster shifter on the DCT. Maybe less Weight difference on the C8?

Very clear that the guy driving the Z06 didn't even know how to launch the car. I tell you what when my C8 is broke in and clears to redline, I will tell my son to take the C8, my wife to take the Tesla P3, and me in my 17' Z06, we will line up and see which one is quicker. My guess is the Tesla P3 will spank them both. The .2 secs the Z is slower than either from 0-60 will quickly be made up for. I can only reference a recent experience with a guy in a new Mustang GT 500 (bad *** car) who rolled up on me at a stop when I was in my Tesla, I didn't even put it in track mode. He ended up in my rear mirror then passed me at 80+...by that time the point was proven as far as 0-60 was concerned.

This video is lame and all the C8 cheerleaders making negative comments about the Z06 probably have never even driven one.

The C7Z06 is probably the least expensive supercar you can buy. I love the C7Z, IMO it's an amazing car, twice that of my '14 Stingray Z51 which was a brilliant sportscar and hopefully my C8 brings me just as much joy driving, washing, admiring it as my C7 did.

The guy in the Z doesn't know how to race, red lighted almost every time, how can anyone take this vid seriously? And take it to the track for f'k sakes.

I didn't mean to post this video to show that the C8 is quicker than the C7Z, but it is the closest to a roll race I've seen so far. The C8 will definitely win to 60 the majority of the time. Since the C7Z got a jump it can be seen that if it were a rolling start the C8 has no chance. Which I suppose both are obvious anyway.

I'm not dissin' you for posting the video (I've seen it a couple days ago and I just happened on this thread today) I'm just saying to all the people who think the Z is a joke, it's not, the driver of the Z is but not the car. I'd much rather see these two go at it on a prepped track with lights, equally matched ie both on street tires or DR an 8 spd Z as well as a 7 spd. I have zero doubt that the C8 is QUICKER to 60 or 1/8th than the Z, hell even the ZR1, but after that it's

It is pretty common for a base car of a new generation to be almost as fast, as fast or faster than a Z car from the previous generation. This is what many Vette people expect and want.
