2021 Choice: Vert vs Coupe
Other than added cost, any downside to the vert? Lines looks very similar to the coupe and I'd say having the vert is a better way to go all considering. Thoughts?

who cares about visible engine when you driving the car you want visible to show it off at car shows? diff strokes for diff folks. would rather have top down experience and not visible engine

The HTC takes the car to the next level. Just not many HTC sports cars out there (let alone mid engine with DCT). Porsche/Aston Martin/Maserati/Jaguar only have ragtops. You have to step up to a Ferrari Portofino or a Mercedes SL for a HTC.

IMO
The coupe lines give it a more exotic look than the HTC
i like the coupe better and I’m a vert guy.

The vert! I have had a ME where you could see the engine in the past... you get over having to keep it looking clean after a short while! Also with the split trunk space.. I would prefer to have the extra space in the back for traveling with the wife. My worry of course is what is the heat going to do to stuff in the back with the top down. Also is the top going to get cooked... we shall see!! Though both options are awesome!!

I was all on board w/ the coupe until I saw the first few new owner video's popping up a few months back. Two things about the reviews stuck out to me 1) interior was actually too quite in terms of hearing the engine and 2) that rear glass on the coupe is going to be a major pain to keep clean.
Given that, I changed course back in March when my allocation came up and shifted to the vert (sigh). I'm looking forward to putting down that rear window to hear the engine purr while having the option to keep the hardtop up. The added benefit is there will be very few verts on the road for the immediate future so I think it'll feel that much more unique....at least until production/demand for verts picks up in '21.

Really? That’s a concern to you?
All cars have rear glass.

To c5 vette73: You're cherry picking 1 item from the things I've mentioned, but ok. Cumulatively, it was the other advantages that together swayed me to the vert. Besides, personally I think it looks a bit more exotic w/ the nacelles so that's another plus in the vert column.

Coupe and convertible have identical amount of storage space.
Actually, that's incorrect. With the HTC's top down and the Coupe's top out and stowed in the trunk, the convertible has MORE storage space
