Default MaxJax hoist

I was looking at this MaxJax hoist. Looks pretty cool..portable and fits under low ceilings.
Any experience with this hoist and your C8?
Hopefully my C8 HTC currently at 3000 will be in soon and was hoping it would be usable for it.
Thanks.

I've got a MaxJax lift. It's great! Portable, can be moved for wider vehicle, arms are adjustable, easy to install. Simple maintenance like oil changes, trans fluid changes, installing exhaust headers, etc. is easily done with the MaxJax. Don't know how compatible with other cars, but my C5, C6, C7, wife's Mustang, and my Silverado all fit without moving the lift to other position.

"Hopefully my C8 HTC currently at 3000 will be in soon"

Define "soon". My HTC went 3000 the day before the Factory closed due to the pandemic.

My Salesperson called me yesterday. She said it is supposed to be built the third week of October.

Soon means in time for a few trips before putting away for the winter....No TPW yet. Accepted by GM the first of Feb.

I have had a maxjax for over 7 yrs. I tossed the cart and mounted the hyd setup on the wall. the hyd quick disconnect fittings are junk. toss them in the garbage and buy some quality fittings. I spent about 150$ on better fittings that wont leak. you need to ensure your concrete floor is 6" thick and make sure the anchors are properly seated. using a impact may loosen them over time so check them often.

lastly sliding around under the car on a rolling stool can crack your noggin on suspension parts! . overall its a great asset and I couldn't do the maintenance and mods and repairs I have done over the yrs

I've had 2 maxjax over abut 10 years posted a lot about it on the forum. Dannmar that built the MAXJAX went belly up a couple months ago and Bend Pak (take that for what it's worth) is now selling them. They do not stand behind the Danmar product, no warranty no parts no support, I ssume they do on their MJ. My original one was flawless then about 8 months ago I bought the new M6 model...junk!! There is a flaw in the towers that from time to time will not let the car down and it is a major PITA to get it down. I was never able to get either Dannmar or BP to warranty it. I also have a 4 post bend pak lift thats just OK, that if I had it to do all over would be another brand.

That all being said I love my original MJ the new one sucks big time

Sad to hear Danmar went under. I had nothing but good experience with them and my MaxJax. Great customer service and product support. After my install I put my C5 up on the lift after bleeding the lines. I called Danmar when the lift went up unevenly with the C5 on it, asking what to do...the MaxJax rep said "couldn't you have started with your old truck or your wife's car? Did you have to risk the vette?!??!!!

I've had one for 4-5 years and love it. I use it for everything. As long as you follow the C8 jacking point instructions, you'll be fine! My C8's been on order since 12/19. Can't wait to get mine and try out the lift.

With that spacing I could lift my C5, C6, C7, Silverado, my Colorado, wife's Mustang and friend's Miata with ease. No need for an additional set of holes spaced closer or further. It's a very versatile 2 post lift. I just recently, after years of use had to replace seals in the lift. Piece of cake! I highly recommend MaxJax.

I still use my original MaxJax that I've had since 2013. Agree with other post that you need to replace the hydraulic hose disconnects with good ones. Only issue I've had over the years, is that I've had to replace the hydraulic cylinders. I can say that as of last August, Bendpak tech support was supporting the MaxJax and recently provided me with a replacement cylinder. It took several months because they were sourcing new replacement parts for the MaxJax. However, I have no idea how long they will support.

These days, there are more alternatives for residential garage spaces.. I don't care about portability, I never unbolt the columns. I periodically check the column bolt torque to 90 ft-lbs and have magnetic fence post levelers on each column that will tell me if a column starts to move.

Here is another reason to look at something else. I just got a threatening letter from Central Transport, they are the shippers they used to ship. I bought mine with a free shipping promo but apparently they never paid the shipper. Now they are telling me I owe for the shipping, you are not going to believe this. "Original charge $422.07 + $50 late fee PLUS!!! $2,261.33 (original discounted amount) = $2,733.40." Hell that is more than I paid for it.
