^ Loyalist and the fact that is a great car and only going to get better. But it's not very good looking at 68.

I also recall when many in the Corvette world were "horrified" at the exposed headlights on the C6, and "nauseated" with the "Camaro like" taillights on the C7. There was even some company in Italy that was selling a replacement rear bumper cover for the C7 that had round C6 taillights. I do not believe they sold many of them. I happen to own a C7 convertible and I never liked the lines of the car with the top up (top down was fine). Always thought the coupe was the prettier car. Over the years, the vert really warmed up on me and now I think it is just about the prettiest thing around, top up or down. I guess it all goes back to "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"...

I think we are beating the dead hours here! I recall that way back in 2019, there was a long tread on the tail end styling of the C8, and whatnot people wished GM did. Since we already bought the car, it's too late now
The only styling issue for me, are the two bumps above the front wheels, where you look out the window when driving and you clearly see them on both sides, kind of blocking views. I know we discussed this before also, as someone pointed out that it maybe due to aerodynamic reason, but I think if GM making them just a bit lower, it would be perfect.

The horse is far from dead with so many new folks continuing to bring it up. It reminds me of the "Bangle Butt" controversy (in honor of former BMW Chief Designer Chris Bangle) surrounding the early 2000s 7-series BMWs. After several years of continuing criticism, BMW finally caved and redesigned the rear end.
I don't see it as a "Camaro taillights" issue, it's the entire rear deck, fender height, and back cover.

Or this:
Do you whine as much IRL as you do here?
Yet somehow there are tens of thousands of people on waiting lists not only for the Stingray, but the Z06 and E-ray. Yep, sure is a failure.

To each their own. The design and the lack of a manual gearbox is a source of perpetual contention for this car. The C8 looks like a dated FE car converted to a ME car. The cab is too far back. A shark design is 3 000 000 years old. Corvettes should look like sharks. Just moving the cab forward like Lamborghini does, and lowering the front fenders like earlier Corvettes, helps this design just a little bit. The back of the car is pitiful.
And yet he can't stop posting on the C8 forum. Odd hobby for someone who hates everything to do with the car.
Spare me.

Another design that many Corvette fans hated when it replaced the C2. But somehow it got a lot more love over time, not more hate.
I expect the same will be true of the C8, as the crowed that thinks the C5 was the epitome of design get tired of whining about it.

All I know is Kids & Women really, really really like the C8. I can not believe the number of young girls 5 & up that know it existed and love it, Same with women. They want to have their picture taken with it, they want to sit in it too, which I let them do.
I had no Idea that Kids knew about the C8.
We all have different tastes. I normally don't comment on other Gens of Corvette. C8, I like the Low winged spoiler as well as the High Wing. Stock looks, Base model the rear looks naked. Takes the Sports out of Sports Car. More of a Touring look.
I bought a C8, because of the aerodynamic that went into it's design. 2nd new Corvette I've ever owned. 69 C3 coup was the 1st one.
Was never a fan of the C2, disliked the Coupe more than the Vert. Now I own 3, I vert & 2 Coups...LOL. C4-C7, maybe a C6 Z06
C7 design with it's Aft front fender design, sucks, for more than the C8's rear intake design to me. At least it's functional.
Your tastes, My tastes, .
