C8 Garage Room

As expected, it's somewhat tight fitting into the center of 3 garage doors with 93 inches between the wood moldings IF it's pulled in straight. That seldom happens as have to make a 90 degree turn from the driveway so it's usually at a slight angle. At first, thought like the wife's SUV, would fold in the mirrors. BUT on 2nd thought learned to pull the Grand Sport in with the same width mirrors. Keeping the driver's mirror tip to wood molding (easy to see) under 4 inches, leaves about 4 inches on the harder to see passenger mirror to molding. If folded and the car is pulled in at an angle, it leaves little clearance to the left rear fender. Won't fold the mirrors!
Did see something that was surprising. The tire tread width looks as wide as the large section width 335 Grand Sport tires. Having a "tire width fetish" (probably from the narrow tires in my first car back-in-the day that had way more power than those skinny tires available.) Had to slip the clutch for some distance on a launch off the line! Was concerned about the 305 section width C8 tires versus the Grand Sport 335! The tire tread appears to be similar. Section width doesn't tell the whole story!
Here are some pics of the car after washing, Clay Baring and using two Zaino products today!

Found another interesting thing when I got to the 2 miles long 25 mph twisty road I live on. Set cruise control at 30. It would not go over 4th gear, which was fine. The Vette looks like it's speeding when standing still and some of the little old ladies (who drive their SUV's at 45+ complain that I speed. I really don't (on that road or others in our club!)
Today with a heat index over 110 I washed and polished the car early. Bad day to do it but since I told the dealer not to wash the car- had to be done! Tomorrow I'll put on some miles!
Thought I'd connect my GM equivalent charger as no idea how long that battery had been sitting around. It was fully charged in a few hours.

It's not a small "cute" little car. That's why I chuckle at the shocking color pallet GM has decided is needed for young folks. It's not a cute, little unusually colored kitten! Imagine what you could charge for one in flashy colors that would stay that small !
