Are there any new C8 on lots for MSRP?
when you look at cars.com you will find a load of new C8s and as it looks for MSRP-is it just a way to get you to call them and then jack up the price?
Thanks

To actually answer your question in the subject line. the simple answer is NO. IF you find a C8 on a dealers lot that isn't sold, one of two thing are or have gone on.....either a sold order was refused or the buyer backed out for some reason OR the dealer ordered the car for them selves and at that point the dealer jacks the price to what ever he wants.

The best answer is no. When Chevy invoices a new C8 to a dealer, (or any other car, sold orders or for dealer stock), most dealers have that information automatically listed on sites like AutoTrader and Cars.com. It is not an indication that the car is for sale. You probably aren't going to see ANY C8's at MSRP, or in dealer stock for a long time. 2020 was effectively sold out before they even produced one, as is 2021 (very likely)

If you're this late to the dance, the band is already tearing down. Order a 2021 and wait a year, best bet.

If there were, the many flippers here would have snatched them up already.

Maybe some awaiting back-ordered repair parts.
But, seriously, If so you KNOW such is nothing more than a come-on.

Just the Facts
If you're going to buy a car to flip, you need to get $10K over MSRP to cover the sales tax. If you have the cohones to try good on ya'. Truth, I don't think I could find a buyer than dumb. Nor want to try.

^ Not really the facts, as there are ways to get around the sales tax.

I sold my $74,495 car for $105,000 after driving it for 2,300 miles. I think that covered my sales tax.

I just saw a 1LT stingray with a $61,290 sticker "offered" at $91,290 -- damn near a 50% markup!

In fairness, we have an annual personal Property Tax on vehicles based on the Black Book price. After 25 years it's essentially zero but when new very high! Bet there are many folks in SC that pay more annual personal property tax for their new 4 wheel drive pick-up than their home! Great way for the state to generate income. Buy a new truck for little down and XX dollars a month and deal with the Personal Property tax later!

Not going to happen. Still to many people with more money than brains willing to pay the premiums. Hell there are people flipping them for 20k after taking delivery 🤣

Don't be shy. I'd expect all of us in states that have sales tax at/near 10% would love to know your secret to avoiding it.
