As a result of not being quick enough on the trigger, I missed the deadline for requesting Courtesy Transportation to my local dealer. With my car on the way to my dealer (Matick Chevrolet) this week, I'm "vetting" transport companies for pick-up and drop off in an enclosed trailer. I would very much appreciate hearing from members with experience in having a car shipped. I'm especially interested in the companies you would avoid! Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving, too.

I have used Intercity several times to transport my Ferraris, Lamborghini and McLaren. Always very professional and understand the cars and owners. Highly recommend them.

I used - Angels Moving Autos (530) 245-0481. All the big boys that I called, said they can transport my car, in 2-3 weeks.
They all like the Auto Auctions on TV, because they can fill their trucks.
I called Angels Moving Autos on a Saturday, and they had my car in my driveway on Wednesday. It came down in an
enclosed trailer, with Marshawn Lynch's Lambo. If Marshawn Lynch trusts Angels Moving Autos with his $400K car, then
you should too !

PS - Angels moving my car for half of what Reliable wanted

I tried intercity, 3 to 4 weeks. I used Reliable, no issues, 10 days, I would used Reliable again. Both were same price.

My dealer told me the courtesy delivery dealer BAC number (ship to) must be arranged and entered before event 2000 (order accepted by GM). Also, if the car is shipping to CA, it goes by rail. This could add 4 to 6 weeks.

If I recall correctly, somewhere between 150-60. I suggest you do it ASAP. Good luck.

I have used Intercity, Horseless Carriage and Passport. Used Passport one time to haul four cars from South Florida to Fort Worth. Awesome communication, great driver, loved the truck tracking. On time pickup and delivery. Would try them first when I need another haul.

Plycar. Have had excellent experiences with them. Callaway uses Plycar to ship their cars.

Thanks and Happy New Year
A much belated thank you to all for sharing your recommendations for car transportation. Given the guarantee that we would have the car before Christmas, I chose Passport Transportation. I met the driver at Cline' Corner, NM, a Truck stop off the intersection of I40 and NM 285. Only 38 miles from our home. Not only did that save money, it also me the chance to drive it home on a scenic stretch of 2-lane blacktop. Passport 's service was top notch and you may want to add them to your list of possibilities. They were also less expensive than Reliable and Independent, the only disadvantage being I couldn't track the car in route online-- not a big deal for me. They always answered the phone promptly and were happy to fill me in on the status of my order. Oh yeah, my wife is smitten.

Also Mike_Furman@Criswell uses PlyCar exclusively. Call Ronnie direct at 631-973-3089 for a quote rather than using the PlyCar Website Calculator. Tell Ronnie you saw the recommendation on the Corvetteforum. For those who purchase from Mike Furman, Mike will take care of all that business for you.

I have used DAS before only when Ken is not available. His company is Steel Toy Carriers. And he is always my first choice. DAS (CarsArrive- Apparently changed names or bought out) was there as a backup when Ken was too busy to get to shipping my car.

I would recommend a "Carrier" not a "Broker".
The easiest way to determine if an auto transport company is a broker or a carrier is to go the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s website: https://safer.fmcsa.dot.gov/CompanySnapshot.aspx
