Disapointing C8 Model Gift

Melting Slicks
Here's an idea. I think all of us have done/said something we wish we hadn't, but once it's out there.................................
The OP is most likely a really nice guy who got the gift and isn't into the 'art' side of things, it wasn't what he expected, and he voiced his opinion. And the rest of us did too. That's okay - part of what forum's are about.
The idea? Let's cut him some slack, realize he's like the rest of us who have done/said something we wish we could take back or re-think, give him an early holiday present, and give it a rest and not pile on any longer?
Just a thought. Hope you are all safe, well, and can find joy this holiday season.

The OP was last on about 30 minutes after his post. So either hasn't been back to the board, or has not actually logged in when reading the forum. I wonder if he will be surprised by the responses.

I'll give you $10, you send me your cheap gift and we'll both be happy.

OK, I can appreciate that Chevy decided to give a C8 Model as a "Gift" to 2020 buyers (not sure if this is continuing), however as nice a gesture as it was supposed to be, Wow, what a disappointing model. Basically, it's a hunk of metal covered in some kind of red/orange plastic that barely looks like a car never mind a Corvette. After seeing so many ads for detail accurate inexpensive models, I find it surprising how "cheap" a gift this is for a car most of us paid well over $75K to purchase. I would not be proud to display or show this model to anyone.

Do you get anything from Ferrari or Lambo? I love mine. I even bought another one on eBay from a guy who resold his C8 back to his Dealer & the model came after he traded the car. Would love to reunite it to the new owner.
