No change to HUD. It does reduce dash glare by about 20%.

Personally I’d go with 20% but if you’re worried about getting pulled over and possibly having to remove/replace the tint, I’d go with 35%. On mine I went with 35%. I like not having to worry about getting pulled over (at least for that). And that’s also why I have a front plate. Both of which I’ve been pulled over for in the past. Also don’t forget the windows are slightly tinted from the factory 70%.

Here is Mass laws…
  • Front Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed on the AS-1 line or top 6 inches of the windshield.
  • Front seat side windows: up to 35% tint darkness allowed
  • Back seat side windows: up to 35% tint darkness allowed
  • Rear window: up to 35% tint darkness allowed

I have 35% on side and back 70% on windshield. UVA/UVB ray rejection 99% with 35% tint.

Does adding a 50% tint to the factory tinted 70% makes it a 30% tint? The law in my state (GA) I believe is to 32%.

I did 35% ceramic on the sides only. No tint on front or rear.
I put Xpel film screen protector on the Infotainment display. That was $50 I think, but I installed it myself.

This is 35%. The windows are small and don’t really need too much in my opinion.
