Default March Allocations

I know we're all currently at 3000, but already I've seen a few people mention TPWs they've received from the Corvette museum. Please post here if you have a TPW for your March allocation, or when you move off 3000, in order to help the rest us March-ies figure out when our cars will actually be built.

Thanks!

I can officially celebrate now. I now own a Corvette for the first time in my life even though I won’t get it for 2 weeks. My Vette is at the museum, I have all the paper work in hand including the dealer tag. Nothing to do now but wait for my delivery date at the NCM.

I began to observe that those who ordered a museum pick-up seem to be getting their 3400 status before others. Any thoughts?

I don't believe anyone with Museum delivery is moving to 3400 any quicker. I believe the Museum has the ability to see TPW's of everyone at 3000. I also think those TPW's are very tentative until you get within a couple of weeks of your build and actually go to 3400.

I called Shane when I went 3000 in late March. I was told my TPW is 6/28.

Yikes, my optimism is fading fast. I am hoping for a May allocation. How does mine get built for 21?

My guess is that a May allocation would be built late July or into August for 2021. My guess is that production will go for 2021 atleast through August 2021 if not into September.

I don't believe that is true. I have a Museum Delivery and I have been at 3000 status for about 6 weeks so far. I think it has more to do with when BGA production decides when they want to build your spec'd car since I have seen some non Museum Delivery cars with same allocation month built way before the Museum Delivery cars. Just my 2 cents.

A good rough estimate is your car will be built 8-10 weeks after you go 3000 if no shutdowns or delays.

As an example I received allocation March 19th and hit 3000 March 23rd.

I'm anticipating my car will be built late May or first week of June with delivery late June or very early July.

Below I pulled a quote from another thread poster as a real life example for a non-Museum Delivery (be warned the poster has some errors in his dates but you get the idea):

"Have my vin at 4000 waitting to be ship 11/13/2020 placed order 12/4/21 got my allocation 1/4/21 went to 2000 3/13/21 went to 3000 stay at 3000 for 6 weeks 3/15/21 3300 3/19/21 3400 3/22/21 3800"

I'm sure there is a thread on this somewhere but it sure seems like getting a museum delivery pushes back the build date or maybe it just seems that way.

Reporting by two MacMulkin March allocation customers they have received a TPW date. Reason orders are for discontinued exterior colors Shadow Gray and Sebring Orange.

I went to 3000 on 02/10 and NCM says my TPW is 05/24. I am not getting museum delivery or the book.

I am a March allocation at 3000, with a Shadow Grey C8. I hope they run it through faster since they are trying to use the paint up !
Orders do seem random due to the "type run" they are doing at any given time, and if you ordered an option with low quantities, you may be on hold a while.
In any case, I don't know why GM does not set up a web page showing order numbers moving through the system.
Seems it would save bugging dealers or the GM Concierge.

I was mid March allocation, and was at 3000 quickly. NCM says I have a TPW date of 4/12, which seems amazing (and I kind of dont believe it, but whatever). I was trying to get photo book but none left. I am getting elkhart blue 3lt coupe, red/black interior.

I am getting museum delivery and they said typically two weeks after build date, which would be roughly early May, which would make total turnaround from order submitted to getting the car 45 days or so. WHich seems overly ambitious, and Im not even sure possible, but if NCM is correct, then it should be in the ballpark.

I am a MM customer and I had a March allocation, and went to 3000 last week. I am doing a Museum delivery. My C8 will be a black HTC 2LT. I emailed Shane at the museum to get a preliminary TPW. He said emailed back a tentative date of 6/7

This may or may not be helpful to you but I went to 3000 on Feb 16, a couple days after allocation. As of Mar 29, I’m still at 3000. I’m expecting my TPW will be mid May to early June. Could be sooner, but I’d be surprised. If that’s any kind of indicator, you March folks still have a little bit of a wait. After it’s in your hands the memory of how long it took to get will fade rapidly.

Hey All,

I am also a "Marchie" in 3000 status, no NCM delivery. When I got my March allocation, was told by the dealership that the black wheels were constrained. Would be interesting to see if the Marchies with earliest reported TPWs have opted for sliver wheels. It will also be interesting to see if the very low volume color I picked, get's me a later TPW.

Cheers.

I am a Much allocation as well with Museum delivery. I need to ship some parts to the Museum for them to install so I checked with Shane to see when they needed to be there. He gave me a TPW of June 21st.

What are you having installed? Is it possible to have things like PPF done prior to pickup?

I really hope that's just a place holder.

A February allocation shouldn't have a TPW of late May. My god. If that's real, I'm gonna be depressed.
