Default Interior Accessories

I was wondering if other owners were experiencing the same thing I was. I've had my car for almost 2 months and found it odd that I haven't wanted, or looked for how I could customize the interior of my car. I know that the improvement over the C7 was considerable (at least for me) and that it may have been because in my C7 I had a 1LT interior and in my C8 I went to 2LT which added a lot of extras to the car I had. But I am more referring to the carbon fiber add on's and the personalization parts that a lot of people changed to when you first got the car to make it your own. I haven't gotten the urge to change much and really like everything just like it is. The fit and finish appear to be better and the seats even the GT1 seats are plenty nice for everyday driving. I have seen the carbon fiber steering wheels and they are pretty awesome looking, but don't know if I would change the factory wheel at this time. If anyone has found any improvements that they can suggest I would be glad to look at what has been done. I also wondered if others were experiencing the same thing?

Still can't wipe the smile from my face as I drive the car.

I sold a modded C5 to buy a 15 Z51 2LT A8 and the only thing I changed on that car in the four years that I owned it was the oil and the tires. I can't blame you for not wanting to change anything. The C8 design team went to Faurecia - a French company that designs interiors for Bugatti and Ferrari - to design the C8 interior. I am really impressed with how good the interior of the C8 looks - especially after having put up with the cheap plastic and other cheap interior parts I had in my other Corvettes.

I have the 3LT Adrenine Red interior with the carbon fiber trim option. I wouldn't change anything appearance wise. Anything more (e.g., more carbon fiber trim) I think will just make things too busy and detract from what's already there. I did, however, add PPF in the door sills for paint protection and the super plush Llyods Luxe floor mats.

Like others, my only significant interior complaint is lack of storage. I just noticed the console isn't large enough to hold my cell phone when I plug it in. Otherwise, the interior is very well done and looks killer in red.

I've got to say, the GT2 seats are just damn sexy. I've never been a Corvette guy but just seeing the difference in the generational interiors at car shows is astounding. Even the C7 to C8 - my wife and I have been like wow, what a difference. What you say above makes sense, if true - this interior just looks and feels like a step above. That's coming from someone that's still waiting on their car, mind you - so who knows what will happen after 10-20k miles....but just initial impressions, it feels like the GT2 and associated interior are built like they were for a more expensive car.

I’m ordering the GT2 two tone seats as well. This interior is superior to the C7 from everything I’ve read. I had no issues with the look or comfort of my C7 interior.

The C7 had a lot of plastic still (center console, window switch surround, grab handles etc) that I wanted to replace with aftermarket carbon fiber trim to match the dash, also because its ugly to have the entire center console be cheap plastic.

C8 remedied this by actually using all leather or aluminum and hardly any plastic, as such there isn't a lot left in the interior that makes me want to go aftermarket and start swapping parts.

I love my 3LT 2 Tone Adrenaline Red with Carbon Fiber Trim. Only thing I changed was the steering wheel. And I absolutely love how is compliments the carbon fiber. Makes the car feel even more special. I mean, the steering is one of the few things you look at every time you're in the car.

Only thing I changed was the mats.

Plugged in cell phone goes into the cell phone charger under the waterfall, or fits real well laying on its side behind the console door when it's open. Careful it doesn't fall into the space behind open door, that's why its good to have it plugged in to retrieve it!

I have read that the only piece of plastic in the 3LT interior is the radio ****, that's it!

Don't forget about the blinker stalk, wiper, most of the buttons on the steering wheel, the emergency door openers, and the black vent adjusters. I'm sure I'm missing a lot more bits.
