2020 C8 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
Default The Wall of Buttons is perfect

And here's why I think so. Been living with it for months now, and liking it more and more.

Regardless of what anyone thinks I think we can all agree it, with its REAL buttons, beats the ever loving pants off of moving every control onto a flat screen, ala some other "forward thinking" companies who take their automotive design cues from oh... Apple, Ikea, and your IT department...

It's a guy thing, we need buttons to play with just like our remotes.

I like the hard buttons unlike the iPad cover of the sunvisors of Teslas. Where did the design team come from? Now everyone is shifting to flat touch screen.

Buttons are faster and easier to use than opening a bunch of menus to do stuff on a flat screen. I think the screens take away your attention to the road for too long.

@Hillslam excellent job... I had already thought I'd like the wall of buttons when I get my C8, but your video made me look forward to it even more!

Thanks for the video. I saw a youtube video the other day that suggested the "wall" would be lowered in height for 2022. Of course, ZERO idea if this is in the works or not.

I think the row of buttons looks cool, however, in practical application they have two major flaws.

First, they are easy to accidentally activate by a passenger getting in and out of the car or resting their arm on the console. I can't tell you how many times my wife has turned on the AC just getting in and out of the car.

Second, it can be hard to tell if a button is on or off on a sunny day. And this becomes even more difficult in the convertible with the top down. I often have to cup my hands over a button to check if it's on or off.

As I said, the buttons definitely present the cool factor, but from an ergonomic standpoint, they suck in my opinion.

Totally agree on the setting being hard to see in sunlight with the top down.

As they say, where there is a will, there is a way. Not saying it would be easy.

You may already know, when you press one of the buttons, the HVAC settings come up on the main display

My girlfriend is a former YOGA Instructor. She insists the wall will NOT be a problem!

The cupholder location is dogshit. I wish the cupholder and the phone charger were swapped.

That's what I was thinking.

It is a structural chastity belt for middle-aged men haha.

Chevy is in the business of marriage preservation, I like it!!!
