My wife (the Asian Persuasion) and I went to Corvette World Of Dallas, to look at some colors...Silver Flare Metallic is what I wanted to see, as that was high on my list of color choices, with Black and Arctic White.

But when we walked into the large showroom, and saw the Torch Red C8...my wife said, "That's it."

The SFM was Ok, but did nothing for me. Here is the crazy thing, previously my wife had said any color EXCEPT red. How does that grab you!?!?

A few photos, and it is obvious why a full 25% of Corvette buyers select Torch Red. Count me in. OMG!

Well I just bought a Firecracker Red Rubicon PHEV, so I am really Elkhart Lake Blue, or Silver Flare. But no denying that Red is an awesome color on a Corvette.

PS....I ordered a Torch Red/Adrenaline Red C8.....this will be my 2nd one in that killer color combination....

No sticker in this one, but the 2LT HTC Z51 on the other side is $113,995. The 1LT SFM Z51 is $95,995.

Torch Red is an awesome color, that's for sure. And the two tone red/black interior really looks nice to me. I gave that combo serious thought myself, but having had a couple TR C5's, I wanted to go a different direction this time. While I feel blessed enough to buy one C8, there are several colors that I think they look really good in, so if I had unlimited funds, well, let's just say I'd have to have a much bigger garage...

I wish Torch Red was a true red. There's way to much orange in Torch Red for me.

Agree with that. TR is striking but looks much too orange to me. Which may explain why the hottest new color is Red Mist (much closer to my idea of red). When you see a TR and RM side by side in a showroom the TR actually looks true orange.

My C7 was Admiral Blue and I was considering either of the blues until I saw the Torch Red in person.

Same here, as I was considering SFM, AW, and Black. Right up until my wife and I saw the Torch Red C8. One look is all it took!

I was all set to buy TR until I saw Red Mist.

Both are excellent colors on the C8.

A little advise from somebody who has learned the hard way to heed good advice....... "IF MOMMA'S NOT HAPPY, AIN'T NOBODY HAPPY!!"
So, pick another color buddy. Just saying!
