I saw this picture of a member’s C8 and really like the rear license plate area in carbon flash. It’s the first time I saw one painted like that. Is this an option? Is it available with a coup?

If so, does anyone know the option code?

If not, it should be. A good shop can do a carbon flash wrap.

I am not much into appearance mods, but I think that really makes the back of the car look better. Imagine that with a yellow on black CA license plate. I'll try that on my car when it gets here as I want black plates anyway

While not a wrap, I chose a curved rear license frame from Hi-Tech Custom Concepts and which is available in either chrome or black powder coat. I had CW wraps do some carbon fiber wraps accents.

In the top 2 pics it looks like the CF wrap extends beyond the recessed license plate area to also include the area all the way to the tail lights. Anyone else seeing it that way (unless it’s just an illusion in the way I see it)? I think I may actually like that look best.

Looks the same way to me. That's the one I want to try. I don't like the version with only the recessed area in black or the license plate frame as much.

I also agree that extending to the taillights looks best. When I first saw these pics I didn't consciously realize what the difference was ,thought maybe it was a trick of the light. Now that you guys have commented on it I see the difference. I will be ordering my C8 in Amplify Orange (I'm on the MM 22 list) and I will definitely plan on doing this when it arrives. I actually like it so much that I might have it painted instead of trying for a wrap. That way it would be a perfect match for the other carbon flash (top & nacelles, spoiler, etc.) and would last forever.

Just one more thing added to the list.

And now I've done it! I know this is an old thread but I really liked the look in post #1 when I first saw it after about 1 month on the MM waiting list. I finally received my C8 a few weeks ago and this was one of the first mods I did (along exhaust, lowering, spoiler wickers, rock guards). Aero package still to be installed. (By the way, if you've read my other post above you'll notice that I changed my color preference from Amplify Orange to Rapid Blue).
