I don't know about the rest of you all, but for me, it's more about ordering the car with the option I want, and not some combo the dealer thinks is popular. If I'm spending north of $90k, it's not going to be on a compromise.

well the C8R is a car that dealers loaded up on and most are 25 grand over sticker-when these first were announced i was told i had to be on one of there lists yeah right they loaded themselves up to cash in terrible.

But that was always the point of the C8R. Throughout the decades auto manufacturers have offered flashy “special editions”, with purely cosmetic stickers and add-ons, at disproportionate high pricing, for dealers to put in the show room and hype. The C8R is only that and no more. The “tell” is the use of the word “Inspired”:

In addition to the Corvette C8.R-inspired graphics package, the IMSA GTLM Championship C8.R Edition also adds the following equipment
  • High-wing spoiler finished in Carbon Flash
  • Yellow brake calipers
  • Black Trident design wheels, with the “Jake” logo on the center caps, and black lug nuts
  • Exterior mirrors in Carbon Flash
  • Black side rockers
  • Splash guards
