That’s actually kind of cool. Make sure you keep it with the car.

That's not unusual at the beginning of a model year. I think GM will send an updated one to the dealer when it's ready, but check with your dealer and see what they say. Pretty sure they're legally required to provide a filled in one.

Yep, mine was built on 5/23, the first full day of 2023MY Production, and came with the same Window Sticker. I was suspicious, but my Dealer gave me the same story and said that it would show up within a few days or a couple of weeks. I'll be following up with him next week if I haven't heard from him by then.

Clearly the annual fuel costs are underestimated.

Your dealer should be able to get a revised window sticker when it is available. Congrats on taking delivery of your ‘23.

This is correct. Your selling dealer needs to call Chevrolet and have one generated. Sometimes they will just send a corrected one to the dealer but don’t count on it. Call the dealer and have them order it.

It is Federal law. The Automobile Information Disclosure Act of 1958 ("Monroney Act" named after an OK US Senator who drafted and introduced it) requires a label affixed to windshield or side window disclosing suggested retail price and equipage for new vehicles sold in the US.

A completed "Monroney Label" should printed and provided.

You'll noticed it says they can't sell the car until you get an official window sticker so the owner has no choice but to get one.

I was in MM the other day and saw this car and sticker,

My '23 was also an early build and mine came with the same, although I forgot to ask to keep it. Has anyone from this thread received their real one yet? I have been following up with the dealer and still nothing. I am going to try to see if I can get the original one too.

GM seeks to CYA and be in compliance with federal law but at the same time make room for more builds on their parking lot and not create a log jam with delivery to dealerships based on predetermined allocations. Except GM is faced with non-compliance issues of the federal law described by member Foosh. So to take a load off their mind GM is placing it's trust in the dealership to hold off on any sale of the vehicle until a MSRP is determined and issued a.s.ap. GM is saying the responsibility to do something or in this case NOT to do something rests squarely with the dealership to hold off selling the product until the MSRP can be determined. GM is taking it a step beyond and also putting the dealership on notice to not even display the car to the public, stating it should not be displayed. Hide it on the back lot in other words. But the dealership views it in more simple terms. It is what it is, simply a "suggested" price. We can sell it for any price we want. We are not bound by that federal law, GM is bound. GM left the door open to show the car to the public bc the sticker states the vehicle "should" not be displayed. IMHOP GM lawyers should have instead used the wording "shall" (not be) (displayed/shown to the public at the dealership).

I followed up with my Dealer a couple of days ago and he had not yet received the actual Window Sticker for my car, so he ordered one for it. I do have the original (nearly blank) Window Sticker, along with the other paperwork. Still waiting for the TX DMV to deliver plates and registration to the dealer, as well as my vanity plates to be made:

When I went and paid my taxes 3 days after I got my car, they gave me plates right away. I think the dealer just needs to go get the plates at the tax office.

I picked up my '23 on 6-6-22 at the NCM and have the same window sticker. Another member recommended this thread. I was # 89. Anyone have an idea how many of us there are? Thanks.

Default sticker shock

I picked up my '23, #007, from MacM in June and got the same sticker. They promised to send the proper one when they got it, but even after inquiring, I've not received it. So I can't tell whether it's GM or MacM dropping the ball.
