Get well, man! That blue car of yours needs the love & attention it deserves! Stay positive and you'll get through this thing.

I had a stroke six years ago. Lost a lot of function on my right side and could not swallow. With therapy and constant help from my wife and kids I was back behind the wheel in a bit over three months. Stick with the program the docs lay out for you and do a bit more than that if you can and you will be back behind the wheel before you know it!
Best of luck for a speedy recovery.

Here's to you having a full recovery. Good news is if you typed this yourself, you seem coherent and that is a good sign on the cognitive side.
Best of luck! and great doctors!

Yikes man! I had an "A-Fib" episode this February and got a 1 night stay out of the deal. Yes, it puts the important stuff in perspective...like how many attractive nurses there are. Get well soon.

Sorry buddy. I had one this past November that resulted in a C1/C2 spinal fusion and lost 100% feeling down my left side. Lost almost all mobility in my neck - I can only look straight ahead. I'm probably 20 years younger than you too. One day you're fine, the next day your entire world changes. Everything.
This is going to be an extremely trying time for you - mentally. Your mind will take you into some very dark places if you let it and you need to be cognizant of that. I also thought I would never drive again, let alone any Corvette.
Took some time, but I'm now able to drive and start functioning normal.
On the bright side, you'll be able to get a handicap tag...in all seriousness, keep your head on straight. We're all here if you need to chat.
