I’m here now. At the holiday inn. An instructor took me for a ride in the car I was using. Ask for Joe if you remember. He retired from a state parole officer in Nevada. Went down the straightaway at around 110. Less than 100’ he hit the brakes. Then turned right. I thought the car was going to roll. These z06’s are so forgiving. And the traction is spot on. They do have the tires under inflated. A great school.

For those out there now or recently - how is it with the heat wave? Looks like Pahrump is 105F on the weather maps and under heat warning. In assuming they are rubbing the cars with the A/C on - are they holding up?

No issues with the Z06's when I was there in June.

It was 104• when I was there last week and it was plenty cool in the car. The instructors remind you to drink plenty of water and keep the air conditioning on in the car. Have fun!!

Less than a month out for me. August 11-12 for COS. I know it's way up in this thread, but seeing if there are any updated registrants that will be there the same Friday/Saturday as I. I'm SO excited to rip this car. I have put about 8200 miles on mine and feel confident in taking instruction and pushing it to its limits!

Was there middle of June. They always run the car with the A/C on. Are they holding up????? They're built for this. Plus, I don't believe you would want to race this tight course with no A/C and the windows up (or even down). You get pretty sweaty even with AC cranked. The average temp in Pahrump in July and August is right around 100 during the day. Having been stationed near there i can say "Its hot". Welcome to the desert. You're going to have a GREAT time

Default 9-10 Aug booked

See whoever might be there! I'll be staying at the resort. Then an extra couple days in Vegas!

I'll be getting content for my YouTube channel and IG account, both "WhiteHot HorsePower", this is going to be a blast!

My wife and I are doing COS next Monday and Tuesday. Do the instructors still wait around at the end to get tips?

I was there last week, the 21st and 22nd. Temps were around 115. We had AC blasting but it was still warm inside the car when you were pushing it. The power of the car was definitely impacted by the heat.

Video tip! If you don't have a gopro or insta360 and want to record onboard, just place your phone on the charger with the camera pointing out while recording. Then when I got home, I synced the video to the PDR file.

Here is my fastest lap video, which was 1.24.2 I was hoping to go faster but the temps was at 115 degrees

I passed on those dates due to the heat. Was supposed to get October but ended up with December! Not sure what's worse, 110 degrees or 40!

I'll be fun and at least I won't sweat.

Report back here after you go, curious if you'll be on any of the new track. Do you know which track yet?

Daughter and myself and a buddy and his wife are doing the Class December 13th and 14th. Buddy’s wife and myself will be doing the class. Looking forward to the class and spending time with family and friends. If anybody else will be at the same class let me know. Will be fun.

I will be there! Very much looking forward to the driving and education, not so much the heat.

I was originally supposed to be there in February, but it was snowing. They offered me a reschedule date for these August dates, and I happily took it. Out of the freezer, into the frying pan!
