2022 C8 of the Year (Unmodified) -- Enter Now
For Corvetteforum's C8 Corvette of the Year competition for 2022, you have two choices for entering your Corvette -- Unmodified and Modified.
For the Unmodified category, minor modifications are permissible; for the Modified category, your modifications can be for appearance or performance or both. You are welcome to list your modifications.
We’ve had questions and concerns in the past about whether people with minor modifications (aftermarket wheels, for instance) should enter the modified category or the stock category. While we allow cars with minor modifications to enter either category, ultimately, their Corvettes will be judged by community members, who will accept or reject their Corvettes as appropriate entries.
This thread is for entering your C8 Corvette in the Unmodified category.
You can enter just one of the categories of competition by posting one photo of your C8 in the appropriate thread no later than 11:59 p.m. PDT, Dec. 18. At the request of participants in past competitions, this year we will allow the posting of up to three photos in in the modified competition. Moderators then will pick ten of their favorites as finalists and set up a poll to allow you to vote on which of those finalists is the C8 of the Year. Please note that when the poll is set for voting on the ten finalists, only the first picture in a modified entry will be included if you posted more than one picture in the modified competition.
The judging, of course, is subjective and will be heavily influenced by the quality of the photographs submitted for the entries.
The contest is open to site users across the globe.
The reward in each of the categories is bragging rights and a designation under your user ID declaring your winning status.
In subsequent months, we’ll feature other generations for Corvette of the Year with the winner in each of those generations competing for Corvetteforum Corvette of the Year. The Corvetteforum Corvette of the Year will be featured on the mobile home page of the site.
The fine print: One entry per member. This contest is open to site users over the age of 18 who own the car they enter. Entry photos must have been shot by the Corvette's owner. That is to avoid professionally made photos which might give the entrant an unfair advantage. If you want to enter a photo of you in or by your car, that's fine so long as the picture was not taken by a professional photographer. If you enter a car that previously has been a winner, it will not be eligible for competition. Previous C8 of the Year winners may enter with a different Corvette.
For the Unmodified category, minor modifications are permissible; for the Modified category, your modifications can be for appearance or performance or both. You are welcome to list your modifications.
