front trunk problem
Just had my new c8 delivered from Mac Milkin to las vegas. Since i got car about 10 days ago i have a problem getting front trunk to close I have contacted dealer who basically told me to close harder. That did not work My accidently I found if I press the front button under the headlite two times while trunk is open it will close. Dealer has never heard of this problem but is checking . Note car was built in Nov 22. Wondering if some new change. Anyone have same issue or knowledge please chime in. Thanks

In case you aren't aware, typically, closing the Frunk is a two-part process.
Push straight down leaning forward with the palms of both hands (preferably with a soft cloth to protect the paint) and then let go. That engages the safety latch.
Go back and repeat the process and push down a second time and that should engage the primary latch and fully close and lock the frunk.

My car was built the 2nd week in Dec. and I had the same problem, but I couldn't close the front trunk. Had to drive the car in emergency mod, not over 45 mph, to the dealer. They adjusted the latch and now it closes, but you have to push really hard to get it closed.

I'm sorry, but all this sounds simply... silly. How long have we been adequately making and closing car "lids" of all sorts?

The only way I can close it is pushing down pretty hard… hear a click. Let off .. push down again. And YUP … it is NOT closed !! I have to again push down once again and just maybe it catches on and is locked/shut.
Surely I’ll be going to the dealer to get this fixed.
So…. On a very positive note … the dual clutch trans in our C8 is the best trans ever in a Corvette. Stick cars aside as I love manual cars.

2024 power closing frunk will be amazing. As others have said I lower mine and then press to the first click and then press harder to the second click.

it actually won't close some times before the light quits. I think leaving lid open for more that. a couple min sensor won't see it. I push the head light switch and works Normal
this cant be. how it is to work. Anyone figure this out yet

just found this in the manualIf the hood remains open for more than
10 minutes, the vehicle will enter sleep mode and the hood may not power latch. To exit sleep mode press the front fascia touchpad or the E on the remote key, or open any door and then push briefly on the outside of the top of the hood until the latch clicks into engagement, then let go of the hood. The hood will then close
