I’m thinking about getting SunTek brand PPF done to my new HTC Z51; it would be what they call track package (full front and lower sides. Would anyone like to share their thoughts on this brand (good or bad). I see a lot of shops in my area use Xpel but the shop I’m considering uses SunTek.
Thanks in advance.
Are you sure it’s SunTek….or STek. Two different products where STek(Ultra) is by far superior and rated above XPel. I have the STek and the gloss is phenomenal.
I’ve used SunTek, various generations of Xpel, including Fusion, and even 3M.
I’ve found SunTek as good as Xpel. Wouldn’t hesitate using SunTek. Xpel has more name / brand recognition.
My high end shop had issues with Xpel chq; they are pushing pre-ceramic coated Xpel which is more difficult to work with and apparently not longevity tested. Plus not honoring their past Fusion warranties.
Shop uses Kavaca. Which I now have and seems excellent too.
That said, no hesitation using SunTek again. Especially if have a quality installer you trust.

I have Suntek React full car ppf on my C8 and its great. Front bumper piece and one headlight piece were replaced after a shotgun blast of pea gravel from a flatbed 18 wheeler (jerk didnt clean his truck after unloading). Roughly 20 impacts and only 1 managed to put a teensty ding in the paint. It did its job well!
It also allows me to be a little lazy washing the car. A swirl mark here or there disappears once it sits in the hot TX sun for a bit. 6k miles and my C8 still looks like it just drove out of the showroom.
They are every bit as good as XPel or STEK. Installers may prefer one over the other because of the way they are applied but finish, protection and longevity are the very best available.
Brand recognition is why you even question them. Folks that have no business telling you which is the best and which isn’t because they don’t install the product or warranty the product are not who you should be listening to.
Call a number of shops in your area and ask them important questions such as do they hand cut or use a plotter, what software are they using as that will dictate the coverage the PPF provides and do they wrap all of the edges? Most of the cheaper companies out there do not.
An inexperienced installer can make even the best film look hideous. Check reviews before you decide who you go with!
Finally I will throw out that I do own St. Louis Best Films and Coatings to add merit to my comments.
The installer is probably more important than the material. If the shop is cramped and has nothing but Tesla model 3s in there, think twice. If the shop has a Lambo, Porsche with a big stupid wing and another ridiculous car in it, go there.
