Absolutely worth it. The best performance car money you can spend. Two days of track time in a C8 is a great investment. And think of it this way, you are really only spending $2600 since you would have spent the $1000.
Best part-- you learn your and the car's limits.

As for insurance, I did not buy down and thankfull did not need it. However, a guy in our group ran off the track and totaled the car. He was physically fine and I have no idea if he paid the $200 to buy down to $2000. If he didn’t, he owes them $8k.

I’m not going to go into details of what happened or post any pictures but it was BAD and was more than just running off into the dirt.

I can tell you, for me, seeing it was stuck in my head and made me more reserved in the last two sessions and kept me more conservative and less interested in faster laps.

if I ever go again, I’m buying down just in case.
i went july 2/3 of this year. they guy you are referring to may be the guy they told us about in class. he had a medical emergency (heart attack i think but not sure) may or may not be the same guy.

Not the same guy. This was two days ago and he was fine before/after the crash.

I’m sure they will use it as a training aid for future classes

My wife and i both went to COS. One for $1,000 and $3,495 for the second person. That was in 2021. Worth every penny.
