Default MacMulkin ceramic/ppf

Has anyone had ceramic or PPF done at MacMulkin? Any thoughts on their pricing and quality versus the local specialists?
Does anyone know what their current pricing is on these items? I like to ceramic everything, but only PPF the front bumper area.
thanks!

Don't know about MacMulkin specifically, but IMO, many Dealerships don't specialize in PPF or Ceramic, but will offer the service but will hire an outside company to do the work. From what I've seen, the $$ will be more as the Dealer has to make their profit from the service as well as what the 3rd party company charges.....I went directly after buying the C8 to a PPF / Ceramic specialist and got the car done cheaper than what the Dealer was offering....but it's difficult to give up your car for 4-5 days just after finally getting it....

This is not a post to bash MM because they treat buyers well. BUT........unless they have hired someone who knows what they are doing with PPF and ceramic and are using a good product, I would not trust them to do it right. I'm not saying they aren't doing exactly what I described but this kind of work with a good product requires certification by the manufacturer so they can warranty it.

I've quoted through MM for PPF, this is what they told me when asked about the install quality - "We use a company called automotive elegance to install the ppf but they do it at the dealership.". Furthermore, when I spoke to them they said that installer was the top xpel supplier on the east coast and they do C8s all day long, I assume that's worth something. I ended up using my old detailer so I can't speak to actual install quality, sorry.

I have never used PPF from MM but have seen multiple cars that were done by MM. They were all just fine. Can’t speak to the cost but be very careful as there is a world of difference in the installation qualities. I learned the hard way went to a cheap guy and it was a horrid experience. I’d rather give MM more money and get a good job than receive a bad job for less money. Question: If MM does the PPF at delivery does it become covered by your 3/36 warranty and subsequent extended warranty if you choose?

As posted in another post, MM uses an outside detail service for their PPF and that service would warrant the PPF. Think of it like having aftermarket parts installed on your car during PDI. MM would charge you labor but they won't warrant the parts.
