I saw two C8s on a road trip to Galveston today. And a friend across the street from me owns one.

Last week I went to HD on surface streets, 10 miles each way, about 30 minutes on the road saw 3 C8s. Two going, one coming back.

Recently drove from FL to upstate NY and only saw 1 leaving Florida, 1 way upstate in NY that looked just like mine, and zero on the way back.

Weekdays I have only seen 2 in 2 years of daily commute in NY Metro area. Weekends they are becoming more ubiquitous. Was driving out east saw a half dozen on the road this past weekend. If you were on major highways the vette isnt so much a long haul interstate car. Yes some people do but I suspect the majority use it around town on local roads to the club, beach or car show etc

About 100,000 C8’s produced, yet there are 285,000,000 automobiles on the road in the US? If I’m doing the math correctly, that equates to ONE C8 for every 2,850 automobiles on the road. So you’d have to drive past 2,850 automobiles (on average) to see just one C8? Or 5,700 automobiles to see just two C8’s? Not sure what everyone’s definition of “rare” is but that sounds at least somewhat rare to me…

(It appears perception is not reality…)

I live in St Augustine, and see 2 or 3 a day. Unless I am driving mine, then I don't see any.

Easily pass 10,000 cars a day on a daily NYC commute- so I should see 4 every day- Statistics work for what ever end result you'd like

I believe the OP was talking about the rarity of seeing them on the road not about how “rare” (ig; valuable) they are.

BTW, there are 290.8 Million registered cars in the U.S. with a Total C8 Production of ~114,415 since it’s introduction that means C8 makes up 0.00039% of registered cars in the U.S. so even under the traditional use of the word “rare”….it’s pretty rare and why the resell value is still so high many times higher than the original MSRP.

I see maybe 2-4 per week in Augusta GA. That is a big increase from 2 years ago ( almost never). That being said, remember most c8 owners dont necessarily drive them every day.....

People who owns corvette tipically have other daily commuter cars. They don't drive in the rain, only drive weekends and Hollidays, always in the garage.. thats y u dont really see them on the road everyday.

The only time I dont drive it is when snow accumulates as the front spoiler acts as a plow and All seasons that are so fat they have little traction- otherwise I dont baby it. I did buy the special winter package - 4 snow tires on rims..... mounted on a ford explorer

Agree. I traveled 300 plus miles over the weekend on busy interstates through Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati and saw a ton of C5, C6’s and a few C7’s but not a single other C8. On a workday I travel quite a lot near Cincinnati and rarely do I see one. I see one very occasionally near my office but it’s very congested area with a lot of other offices around. Relatively still rare on the C8 front in the wild here. Columbus vicinity seems to have the most for the buckeye state.

There's just not that many C8s out there, only 130k or so. The reason why some of us like myself, can go up to a week sometimes without seeing one.

16 months and I have yet to cross paths with another Torch Red HTC, which is what I have.

Always see a few every day in my city. Also see Z06s a couple times a week. At my Cars & Coffee there may be 3 or 4 C5s or C6s, 4 or 5 C7s and maybe 10 or 12 C8s including a couple of Z06s. Not bad considering we typically have over 2000 cars every month.

Same with my CC. Last one about 2 dozen C8s, at least 2 Z06s I saw, and might have been another one.
