Agreeing to disagree, I aimed for the most comprehensive coverage over the maximum number of miles. Unsure whether my driving would increase or decrease, I desired the flexibility to drive as much as I pleased, with the assurance of coverage. I opted to wait until two months before the expiration of the bumper-to-bumper warranty before securing an additional 8-year/100,000-mile coverage. Had I bought it new, I would have forfeited three years of protection and mileage. Moreover, given that the price remained at $3,000 three years later, my decision proved financially prudent. Additionally, online pricing tools allow users to input data for vehicles, such as a 2021 model with certain mileage and a 2024 model, to compare the difference. This offers a level of certainty regarding price fluctuations among model years and various mileages -- also knowing those online vendors prices are generally higher than say Todd or Dennis.

The prior poster who commented that he's in his 70s and this would likely be his last Vette, that makes sense. I'm in my 30s, this is not likely to be my last Vette.

Do whatever is best for your situation.

Can a buyer use points earned from his GM card to help offset the cost of a warranty?

I love it when the wisdom of the crowd prevails. Good on you for asking the questions!

The reason I was asking is that I received a quote from Todd earlier this month for a 2024 Stingray with less than 12,000 miles for the platinum plan for 8 years, 100k miles, and $100 deductible for $2514. I was trying to understand the difference between my quote and reply #23 which was $1800. I’m sure there’s a good reason for the $714 difference if someone can explain. Thanks!!

That sounds like a mistake, I'd contact Todd and ask why the difference.

Paintless Dings and Key replacement if loss or broken will be programmed and cut .
This package is super cheap $1049 .Also for 6 years no limit how many times you use it .

My buddy is a finance director at toyota .
I called him before making my decision he said dude get it .

If I even use my warranty one time it will paid for .

Most places charge $200 /hr these days
To me I got a peace of mind .
Its great idea to have a warranty .
A lot of people will tell you not to get it .
Actually you purchased a 3 year extended warranty because of your 3 year factory warranty overlay.

I purchased the Platinum warranty from Todd last week 0 deductible, 60 months, 50K miles for $887 for our C8. Don't forget prices go up the second week of April.
