Default Remove emblems? Some? None? All?

In my question to continue to find the perfect look on my car, which means the final .05%...I am now debating if I want to remove / swap any of the emblems.

For information sake - i have a rapid blue z51 with rapid blue accents.

Thoughts / question / opinions welcomed...

1) Front emblem - CURRENT Standard corvette flags OPTION black corvette flags - this one is pretty definite for me to swap but I will keep the standard flags to put back should i want to with resell. I dont think i would want to remove entirely, but would be curious if anyone really thinks thats a good look

2) Stingray on trunk - CURRENT standard black fish OPTION remove totally - honestly dont like it but not as bad as on the c7 "guitars"....leaning towards removing

3) CORVETTE on back - CURRENT standar black lettering OPTION remove totally - leaning towards keeping and not messing with.

I am not a guy that would want other emblems (know some put on z51, 70th, etc.) but I like cleaner better....looking for opinions, and as they say just like aholes, everyone has one! Though you guys aren't aholes, you are much nicer

thank you my friends,
JP aka Jipper

I'm leaning toward... drive it.

I'm trying to worship the car less as an idol.

More toward... it's a nice day, drop the top, go for a ride in an amazing example of GM mass production.

Ashamed to admit, I have not cleaned my valve stem caps with an alcohol wipe in WEEKS!!!!

I removed the CORVETTE lettering soon after getting the car; I prefer a cleaner look in the rear. My front emblem was removed when I PPF'd the front of the car and sat in my drawer for a while as I liked the look without it better. When the Z06 came out, I noticed the flags on the rear hatch and liked it, so I removed the Stingray and replaced it with the front emblem (after carefully flattening it out with a heat gun). Hope these pics help.

If you plan on removing emblems, try not to wait too long. You may shadows where the emblems used to be.

I have a 2021 with 3000 miles and always garaged...will that be an issue?

I had a 2017 and removed the emblems in 2020 and it was fine

The fish went bye bye when the center stripes went on in week 1 of ownership.

That's the one I'm thinking of...but after seeing the pics in this thread I'm thinking of going to a black flag on the back and a clean front

I had PPF put on my C8 Corvette Stingray and to do that they removed the front Corvette crossed flags emblem. I haven’t had it put back on yet and I’ve been thinking about keeping it off as I like the clean look. Next, I think it’s time to take the fish off the back.

I like the idea of the flags on the back deck, so I just took them off the front. The flags go flat very easily with just a little bit of heat …..going on tomorrow. Taking off the letters too.

I think this is one of the very few generations of Corvette that can pull off the no front badge look, and subjectively in my opinion it looks better without. C7 and back just look like somethings missing but the C8 has the right lines to stand on its own without the badge... just my hot take.

To me the standard black plastic emblems cheapen the look of the car. Why GM would put emblems on the car that are that ugly surprises me. First I removed all of them and that was a much better look. Then I saw a car with the "chrome" option emblems and they actually looked good to me. Less than 5% of owners opted for the chrome emblems probably because they were a $295 option and that's crazy. I found the same emblems on ebay for ~$60 and installed them (excluding the rear fish). I'm very happy with the new look.

I thought nosing and decking was left in the 50’s snd 60’s. Looks like what’s old is new again.

For the detail oriented the fish on the rear deck is a good spot to use to shut the lid without touching your $1,000,000 factory paint job.

I dont think money had anything to do with the 5% take rate on chrome badges... just a changing of the times.

So I guess you are referring to the black wheel craze and that is responsible for the preference for black badges. That might be true if 95% of cars owners liked black wheels. But that's not the case.

Not mutually exclusive at all. But considering GM dropped Chrome wheels for the generation I do think its telling of the times and general preference. The badges are a legacy option for those who still want them but I'd argue the vast majority either dont care or prefer the black
