The first thing I did was remove the CORVETTE script off the back. (Ferrari, Lamborghini, and others did this a long time ago.)

My opinion is removing it helps clean up an already busy looking back end.

Badges?! We don’t need no stinking badges!

1) Front emblem - CURRENT Standard corvette flags OPTION black corvette flags - this one is pretty definite for me to swap but I will keep the standard flags to put back should i want to with resell. 2) Stingray on trunk - CURRENT standard black fish OPTION remove totally - honestly dont like it but not as bad as on the c7 "guitars"....leaning towards removing

3) CORVETTE on back - CURRENT standar black lettering OPTION remove totally - leaning towards keeping and not messing with.

I am not a guy that would want other emblems (know some put on z51, 70th, etc.) but I like cleaner better....looking for opinions, and as they say just like aholes, everyone has one! Though you guys aren't aholes, you are much nicer

I like a cleaner look, so I removed the corvette on the back and the badge on the front. I did keep the stingray on because I think it doesn't disrupt the flow, plus it's directly on my stripes so it could be tricky to remove. Relocated my front badge onto my waterfall inside the car.

Agreed, particularly on these cars, whose design is a bit over-done to begin with.

Debadgge it all. Script is garish. Flags/SR is just out of place. If you want badges, there's better locations to put them in. Flags would probably go better on the black bumper insert on the front bumper. SR/Fish would probably go better (on a coupe) on the rear camera panel. And with widebodies, the Z06/E-Ray lettering probably fits better on the wishbone, rather than down low on the rocker panel.

Script 100% needs to go. Rear end is far too busy. Wrapping it or at least using a black insert by the plate--gives it a cleaner look. Personally, I would wrap everything from the 3rd brake light down to the diffuser, tail-light to tail-light, and conforming to the lines/creases in the bumper.

I also think that any hood graphics will clash with crossed-flags up there. I have an idea for graphics up there that hasn't been done by anyone--and probably compliments the car better than anything seen up to this point....

Hell, if I could debadge the horn button and just get an embossed logo like the seats...I'd do it. I'd even debadge the door sills if I could find some that complimented stealth interior trim.

The only badge I ever cared about was the "5.0" on my Mustang in high school.

Not my Mustang -- just a picture from the web

I removed the front badge because (IMO) it took away from the beautiful design lines of the hood and front fascia.

The corvette badge bothered you, but the high wing spoiler doesn't?

I removed the Stingray from the rear. Never liked that logo and it cleans the back up. I left the Corvette on the rear. I blacked out the 'gold' portion of the front logo so its all red/black.

Man I am so torn on if I remove the front badge or just swap to the black one...kinda feel removing it makes the car look more exotic.

The Stingray badge needs to go...as does the corvette lettering

I like the C8 as designed and mine will stay that way. Have no desire to second guess the designers by adding and/or changing stuff.
I think some make changes just for the sake of change. Your car, so nothing wrong with that.

It’s your car - do whatever you like in terms of changing it up. I happen to like the badges on the car so my preference would be to just leave it as is.

I think whenever I read a post it said we should let the car alone as the way it was engineered, I agree, more or less, but I don’t think that comes to play with the “designers“ where they put the badges on this car as is just a decision by the group as to what looks best, and I think that’s where everybody has a different opinion. I think the fish on the rear deck is out of place, , and when I took delivery that was the first thing coming off. I felt the same way about the C7 fish on the front fenders. I was taking them off in the parking lot when I did the delivery, my salesman was aghast.. To each his own, make the car what you want, put the badges any damn well place you please. Or take them off altogether.

Fact.

I trust engineers. I don't trust designers. Designers gave us braces on the C7 and chrome trim on the C6GS. Designers gave us BSM on the C5. Designers gave us wonderful (bubble hatch and) canopy bows on the C5 and C6, and then gave us fugly AF cantilever greenhouse on the C7. Designers have been adding on more and mroe added-on bits between C6 and C8 to the point now where ******* PONTIAC DESIGNERS are looking at the ZTK's added on cladding/bits and saying "that's a bit on the nose, even for us".

Designers are the ones who make sure there is no less than 50 pieces of flair announcing to the entire world that a Corvette is, in fact, a Corvette; and a further 25 more that you can option for your Corvette, just in case you hadn't visually assaulted passersby enough to notice. Designers are the ones who decided we needed contrasting bits on the C8 exterior that cheapen the exterior's look. Designers are the ones who decided we needed the intakes to extend onto the doors, thereby making a very wide car--stupidly difficult to get into and out of--by adding another 4" of width onto an open door. Designers are the ones who think we need 47 different variations of monochrome.

Designers are the ones who think contrast stitching is somehow "hip" and wasn't dead and overplayed back in 1963. Designers are the ones who slapped an ipad onto the C8 dash and said "good enough for GM work" and did nothing to integrate it cosmetically whatsoever. Designers are the ones who think C8 mirrors totally make sense (cosmetically and financially) to be offered in body color. Designers think 14 speaker bukkake is superior to 6, well-chosen, well-placed speakers. Designers think nobody will notice their suede interior has no suede besides the center of the freaking seats. Designers think that Con-Star is important; and ambient lighting is not. Designers invented a capacitive charging spot that doesn't fit half the phones, and most people will never use.

I could do a better job than most automotive "designers" when i was 10. With a pencil and a napkin. It is not an affront to a car at all to toss out their "handiwork" in favor of something that is better designed from the get-go.

to me, this is the perfect look but I am biased…
