Hey there! You're right—fine-tuning throttle response is one of the key benefits of a throttle control unit, and the ability to cut off throttle for theft prevention is an awesome added feature. It really gives you more control over your vehicle's performance and peace of mind.

Our Soler Performance throttle controller is priced under $300 and is designed to deliver both enhanced driving dynamics and security. If you’re interested in learning more or have any specific questions, feel free to contact me directly on the forum, email at tiffany@solerengineering.com, or by phone at 251-468-9786.

Also, there are quite a few threads on the forum about our throttle controller, but if you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Good topic! Especially that I just watch Rick Conti's "Tech Tuesday" on the subject.
My thought is a throttle-controller can only open the throttle sooner than standard programming. There is closed throttle and fully open throttle, a controller can not open the throttle further. The controller can make the pedal more sensitive by remapping a quarter pedal press to a half engine throttle open. This makes the sensation of the Corvette accelerating faster and having more power. In the end, full throttle is full throttle. Is it worth it, many will say YES!

Just for the record, the Engine/Shift setting also modifies the throttle response. Search throttle response in your pdf copy of your owners manual and you will find it. I'm not going to say it has the same dynamic range as an aftermarket device, and it does not provide the "shut-off" feature.

Yes, it does. But not to nearly the same degree a throttle controller can.

Here is a grapgh of what one does. Perhaps gives perspective that it is just making the trottle open to a larger amount sooner. At full pedal that are all, including all OEM setiings at full open engine thrttl butterflies.

i installed on my 2017 Grand Sprt standard shift as it was a standard ****=ft as was my prior 2014 C7 Z51. But since my 2014 Z51 DID NOT HAVE MRC I always drove in Track. Had much quicker Throttle Response than my Grand Sport that came with MRC and until I paid GM $350 for the MRC upgrade, I as driving in Touring to match the ride. That throttle response was slower and I found taking off from a stop was enough different feel than my 2014. I adjusted it to a medium to middle, essentially linear. throttle pedal linear with engine butterfly. I did not use what I call "Boy Racer" setting that with ~25% pedal provides 50% engine throttle.

I chuckle at those who set at "Boy Racer" as that is what I had in my 1st car! Didn't plan to do that and frankly was a PIA! The car came with a Flathead, and I swapped to a '50 Olds engine I had bored 1/8 inches. Yep installed '56 Olds pistons for a 324 cid. Big for 1960! But the engine was higher so had to increase the throttle rod length from the pivoting gas pedal in the engine compartment. Brazed a section of rod to the working end cleared so it intake manifold to the 4-barrel carb I installed. Full throttle was less than an inch. Made it touchy to drive slow! But like everything soon learned. Just like my E-Ray the "real extra power" not fake feeling from how far press the Lound Pedal is good enough! Can move my ankle as fast as needed.

This is absolutely one the best mods you can do, that does not require work to the engine. I have the Soler controller, and I love it. It is a must have mod, as far as I am concerned!

I ordered one but it sounds like they're out of stock at the moment. I was hoping to play around with it this weekend.

Default App for iPhone

All set got the phone to pair so just ignore this message
Thanks

I installed my Soler unit today but could not get it to pair with the module via Bluetooth for my iphone, I did update my iPhone to iOS 18 and was wondering if it was compatible, I've unistalled the app and re downloaded it and reset my phone by doing a complete reboot but to no help. Has anyone else had problems? I called tech support but was to late, hopefully hear back tomorrow from them.

I have the Soler throttle controller on my C7 - made a big difference in throttle response. Well worth the money and an easy install.

It's an accessory for your C8 that you won't regret you installed. It makes a world of difference on the throttle response you never knew was available to you.

I have had a Soler throttle controller on order, from Soler, since Oct 1st. They are on back order and still no ship date yet.

Default throttle

THANKS for the info....I talked to one of my friends that week-end races his and he thought it was not worth it...He said why would you do that at all, now if it made the car faster he was in...He has spent a lot on modifying his so I thought he would know but he was very negative on it. I mentioned the theft feature and he said they hardly ever get stolen...Left me confused because I value his opinion.
.Glad I asked hear....I think I will give it a try.

I would suggest your friend is wrong on this. While it is true that this doesn't make your Corvette faster, it greatly enhances real time driving on the street. Install it, on the OEM setting, then just bump it to sport 6, and see if you don't get what I'm talking about!

Almost all the negative comments come from people who have never driven with one, and therefore have nothing to back their opinion. It has a 30 day money back guarantee so it will cost next to nothing if your "expert" friend is right. OTOH, just think how much fun you'll have telling him he doesn't know what he's talking about if he's wrong.

I was a doubter. I was one of those who always said "just push the gas pedal down further." Then someone convinced me to try it. I never even considered removing it. Does it make the car faster? No. Does it make the car more responsive and more fun to drive on the street? Absolutely. I liken it to NPP exhaust. That doesn't make the car any faster, but it makes the car sound like a sports car should sound. The Soler makes the car respond like a sports car should respond.

How much time do YOU spend on the track vs. the street? I value the opinions of people who have data to back up their opinion, not those of people who know nothing about the topic.
