Scammers have been active on the site recently, typically contacting people who have posted WTB threads. The scammers immediately try to take the conversation to text or email, making it more difficult for site users to report their suspicions to site moderators. If the first messages you get from a new user is to shift the discussion to text or email, it likely is a scammer and you should report the contact to moderators right away.

For your safety and to facilitate the fight against spammers, we strongly recommend that you NOT INCLUDE your personal contact information in posts in the For Sale sections.
