It does look strange at first, but I find the more I look at it the more I like it, and now the FE starts looking odd to me, my whole perspective is messed up.

But just think where would we be today if they had gone ME back then like Zora wanted?

Imagine what Porsche's would look like if Dr. Porsche had what he wanted in 1948 when he built the first 356 as a Mid-Engine! He knew the engine needed to be in the middle from his 1930's experience supporting the German F1 race cars - all MEs!

Not much money around in 1948 Germany so because of high cost he was forced to use production VW parts and engine location for the 356! They did build a few ME cars and Zora won his class at Le Mans in a ME 550 Spider when working for GM! A car James Dean made infamous because of his fatal crash. Zora, like Dr. Porsche, knew the engine should be in the middle!

Perhaps all 911's would look like my 1996 911 GT1 (although mine is a bit small!)

Amazing engineering and fabrication. Not the prettiest car.
