still a lot of speculation...................
don't worry GM will let us know when they are ready to do so............

So true ! they will be the first to let us know, but it is good to see more or less what to expect.

Partly because C6 members want to talk about it.
Same reason threads on the Super Bowl and coffee cups were allowed to stay, because C6 forum members wanted to discuss it.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I don't have to be right about any of this, just tossing out a couple of thoughts. I think it's silly to think that GM has any sites trying to seriously compete with the other six figure sports cars. Great value to be sure, but at that point it just becomes about ego. Sure the car is capable of 180 mph - yet almost no one drives it there, most lacking the will/skill to do so and the rest of us the pavement to do so. I've been up to 125 on a road course in my base C6 - hopefully higher the next time around, but that is a whole other discussion.
The last opinion I would suggest is that I think it would be pretty short sighted for GM to give up a key part of the Corvette DNA by starting with a six figure price for a base model. That flies in the face of most of it's history. A cool part of this born in the USA car is that it is accessible. Start it at six figures and that changes. Sure people can always buy older ones that fit their budget, but that misses the fact that most of it's history, a guy could get into a new one and still have both arms and legs in tact to drive it.
Long live the Corvette!
