Obviously, you're entitled to your opinion, but I think it's impossible to call the C7 a failure. Like LOTS of others here, I've owned several C6 Z's and ZR1's, and found the C7Z to be a major leap forward. I don't think you'll find a lot of love for your viewpoint here...assuming you care.
I agree.
I think we should start a thread covering all the things that are LIKELY to **** us off about the C8.
You covered the tail lights (Spot on...by the way, what do they look like?)
Head lights (got to be...also, what do THEY look like?)
Weight (I'm sure it will be too heavy)

There is a lot of speculative information about certain dates, etc., which some sources have then taken and sources as fact. So much of what is published is off, especially considering that GM has people in place to actually put out misleading or inaccurate information at times just to stimulate buzz. That said, one source for my educated guess is a report that gave a timeline for one of the suppliers and parts that they are contracted to supply. Like I always say, time will tell, but it's fun to discuss the possibilities along the way.
I don't think 2019 is realistic for the C8 for a couple of reasons:
1. We have the ZR1/whatever it will be called coming out for MY2018. Doesn't make sense to spend that R&D money for a one year car.
2. If the mid-engine car is indeed a Corvette (!/?), I think it is coming out in M/Y 2019. It wouldn't make sense to release a new gen Corvette (front engine/rear drive) along with a mid-engine car (again, assuming the M/E car is a Corvette)
I want to be the first to report a problem with the A25 transmission. Too many gears.
i am looking for forward to the a99. In the c8 each gear is good for 4mph. The car tops out in 80th gear at 320mph. The other 99 gears are various over drives.

Then the torque converters fail and GM pretends like there are no problems.
