I agree. I believe any future Corvette should have some aggressive lines. Sleek and curvy is good but in order to surpass expectations it needs to have aggressive lines and stance. Especially the mid-engine. Wide, low, growling exhaust... Something that will make people say, "look at that!!" Not just, "those are some nice lines." The car on the third row down has some nice aggressive lines on the back-end. The one left of the number 323. I think all of these are GM sketches.
Men, I wish the people making the decissions about corvette in GM were as bold as the designers of some those sketches.
I would have a really hard time not parting out with my money, if they actually took something that looks as good as most of those sketches and that handsomely beat the C7 performance wise out to production.
The highlighted ones are pretty darn awesome!
Some of them might be the best car designs I've ever seen bar none.
I'll post the warning here that I posted in another thread. Either we stay on topic, with NO pissing matches, or we get another C8 thread closed up and Fall vacations will be handed out.

i did an updated comparison overlay sketch image. Rough but good enough to visualize. The overall shape and proportions match fairly well. That side intake tunnel and rear fender vent are logically placed I think, while not 100% accurate I'm sure.
The front and rear fascia details are only approximated but the positions and scale are accurate to the last mule images.
If it's close to this...we could do worse...
Anyway, something to think about while we twiddle our thumbs...
Can't wait to see the real deal...soon I hope !

Lykan Hypersport mashup gets my vote. C7 is a theft of Ferrari design, so why not Hypersport? I bought a C7, but my favorite remains the clean lines of C5. I hope Chevy gets away from busy C7 design. It would seem that C8 needs more revolution than evolution, but with some traditional styling cues to make it recognizable as a Corvette. I volunteer for the focus group.

C5 is very nice. Ferraris and Vettes have shared design cues since the 60s. My first Vette was a 73. Lovely proportions. I grafted a modified F12 nose on a C7. The C7 should have looked like this from the beginning to honor it's shark legacy. Here are some of my sketches of a 'smoothed out' C7 design and a bunch of Ferrari concepts which are shark like, the direction Corvette should head.

We have similar tastes. I once had a 75 c3 vert. Beautiful car. I like most of these designs. It might be sacrilege here, but I also like the Ford GT. If Chevy could make that happen for a fraction of the Ford price, I think it would sell well.

The rendition is pretty rough (particularly the front) so I don't think it comes close to how good-looking this ME will be.
However, it is one of the first renditions I've seen that does appear to more accurately follow the "known" lines of the vehicle - particularly the side strakes and rear fender lines - than anything I've seen so far. I like the fact that you have attempted to graft the front fascia from the "spy" paint room images. I'd like to see this evolve.

he did amazing, and I want to see it evolve too
I really hope we see some more spy shots soon, it’s been awhile since the last ones....
I also really appreciate the work you did to try and follow the lines to get to some resemblance of the final car. Bad news, that if the C8 looks like this, I will be driving my C7 a long, LONG time. That thing is butt ugly...

It is just for fun rendering. The C8 won’t really look like this and I am sure it will be beautiful. He is just trying to pass the time and keep our imagination running! Keep it up firstvettesoon I think we will be ready for a off the wall rendering soon (;
