Here is a fairly nice CU of the rear with decent shadows where you can see the features you are referring to and an older active aero wing which would be very cool.

Of course it does not show the correct shapes or attack angles but demonstrates the concept.

I'll see if I work up a better rear view with these features.

Best looking rear to date with the active aero... probably Z06 and ZR1 versions only though... maybe not... $65-70K Porsche Boxsters and Caymans have active spoilers.

There is a chamfered edge above the rear lamps which leads me to believe it is for such a wing. There is a curved ramp that looks like a landing for a diffuser.

Shaka, I like your details::: Top of front and rear fenders +side inlet look good.

Very good. I remember that. I think the wing will fit into a recess B and the ends will conform to the contour of the body A which doesn't make sense without a spoiler or a wing being there. The chord of the wing will be longer in the center C than D. Let me think about it. The top surface of the deck has to interact with the bottom of the wing like this McLaren.

Shaka, also consider this image which suggests attachment points OR holes for actuators?

The spoiler shape depicted is just to show the common surfaces.

In the CU Ring image above, there is nothing sitting on that upper surface where the holes are. And as you pointed out, the shape and convoluted "steps" and form suggest something needs to nest on top of that surface.

Also note the odd "stepped" top surface of the deck . Why would there be a step there unless something attached or sat on top? You would think it would be a smooth design....

I do believe we will see a fixed spoiler here for the stock car and an active wing for the HP car. The spoiler with side wing profiles we see at the Ring, could be what the active wing will be when deployed or in it's raised position

. I'll get my pencil out later today.
