There should definitely be a vertical retractable window on the folding hardtop but not the sloped back coupe.
I’m actually hoping those pics of the suspected ME Coupe with the C7 style but ventilated hatch is fake thus no sloped back. Instead there is a horizontal windowed cover over the engine. Common to both Vert and Coupe to keep it below $169,000. We will, I hope see soon.
There are lots of them that have little to no rear window. McLaren Senna, Lambo Aventador, Bugatti Chiron Sport. In fact the Bugatti Chiron Sport is a Split rear window.
A rear window is not required but a rear view mirror is required.
Just noticed this pic in detail and saw something interesting. Look closely at the before and the highlighted in blue scribble. Sorry freehand on iPhone. If you look closely it looks like the sun is shining through the rear hatch and looks like a split rear window.
Yep, and when Zora turns over in his grave he will put a hex on all those cars!
Another reason to wait one year for the C8 Grand Sport (Manta Ray or whatever name) version in addition to getting a fatter tire than the rear 305's on the cars in Germany!
PS: The Ford GT with 647 hp has 325 section width rear tires! That is in the right direction!
Looking at Chaz's latest renderings you can see that a split window overlay would look great over the sloped rear glass window. A centerline bookmatched carbon fiber detail would look awesome. And with the new digital rear view streaming camera there are no vision obstructions.
