Hard to understand why some can't accept Tremic has the Transaxle version as well BUT GM was NOT going to let them show it before introducing the C8! I wonder at times why some folks can't visualize what's coming! Sure the engine configuration will be somewhat different for a ME! There is more room on the sides and can be higher. The rads will be in the rear as well.

I found the cutch detail enlightening. It was reported to use wet clutches and this shows the configuration. They are larger than on some of the European ZF's! Hopefully they are efficient and won't require an automatic type cooler. Nothing can be as bad an an A8. An that goodness we don't have to live with a GM produced 10 speed "slush box!" That would have me looking at a Porsche!

For all those, "We must have a large cid pushrod simple engine," 4.2 Liters is less friction and can deliver more mpg. Dual overhead cams allows separately variable intake and exhaust valve timing to optimize power/fuel economy at low and high rpm. Turbo's use some of the ~30% wasted energy that goes out the exhaust.

For those saying, "Don't Care About Any Stinking MPG," I don't either! Understand the option, as Mary Barra clearly said was GM's direction, is an EV! Heck the 502 cid engine with long tube headers, 3 inch exhaust, no CATS and 850 Holley Double Pumper in my street rod gets ~10 mph cruising! I could care less! BUT GM needs to keep their Corporate mpg average up if they want to stay in business. Just be happy we're not getting 2.7 Liter 4 cylinder going in the 2019 Silverado. That 4 valve per cylinder turbo does get 320 hp! Technology moves on!

PS: This 76 year old gearhead is going on 19 when I get in my Vette! We're all not living in the past!
