That is a mid engine concept called "Corvette Indy." It has been around since 1986 and you can go see it at the NCM.

Oh yeah, and BTW, the INDY was powered by a DOHC 5.7L LT-5. Part of the vision.

Still not impressed enough to like it enough to buy it. Reminds me of the old Acura NSX. The proportions are just off. Maybe I'll like it more in person. We'll see after 7/18.

Great bunch of screen captures by Corvette Nut. I especially like this one. Captures Side Scoop highlight. Clearly shows that we haven't come close to seeing the real side scoop shape. It will be fun to see the real 3D surface for the scoop.

appears the big bulky and bulging side vent is just a faux, almost the last of the deception from the corvette RD crew, love to see the c8 without it

distance from rear of door to front of rear wheel well is hard for me to get used to for a corvette. looks like its missing the rear doors. front proportion is also going to take me some getting used to. still i have been hearing about mid engine corvette for very long time. amazing i am still here to actually see go into production. sad to see fe go away as it was what i grew up on. all things must pass...................
