Heard on Fox & Friends this A.M. that Mary Barra announced last night at the Tunnels2Towers event that the last C7 will be auctioned off at Barrett Jackson; guess that answers the question about the C7 and C8 coexisting...they won't/
Kind of sad to see the Front Engine Corvette passing. But that's just the way it goes. Glad I have one of the final versions with an M7 too.
Not sure, but I think the manual transmission is finished too.

I agree. The C7 will now be the second shortest generation, and the ones with manual transmissions will be a slight premium over the same build cars with an auto.
Yep the last C7 is going to be a black Z06 to be auctioned for charity at BJ Northeast June 28. It will not be the actual call at the auction but the right to the last car.

I can't believe GM isn't doing a soft debut, as in, adding the mid engine to the current lineup to see how well it sells and how reliable it is in the real world.
Just dumping the traditional front engine and going mid engine only is like putting all your money on red at the roulette table. This could turn into 1984 all over again.
