It is nothing new -- like almost 50 years!!! And maybe more interestingly, the family resemblance, at least for 1971, could be REALLY close...and so many on the Forum go absolutely nuts for the chrome bumper C3s...
I for one cannot wait for the reveal. I think the car will be plenty stylish and will sell like hotcakes. But, not everybody will like it at first, or even 5 years from now. So be it.
I may even be in the market for a 2020 in 2025 or so.
Meanwhile, I am comforted by a strong feeling that making the C8 mid-engined actually makes it less likely I'll see my C7 (which I love) as "dated." Just like 6-year old Ferrari FE variants look different, but not at all "obsolete," next to their latest ME beauties, I suspect that the long-hood-short-deck C7 will look as stunning and contemporary on July 19 as it does today...
